It is worth to change from standard one to this?

The standard sound is very good. I have not tried the upgrade earphones, but people do say if you listen to a lot of music the upgrade phones are worth the extra cost

What's the sound quality when used with other brands of intercoms, like fodsports fx8? I'm looking for louder speakers for my fodsports. Tia

Will work with any 3.5mm jack. They're an upgrade for the standard cardo speakers which I thought were great already, so I imagine they'll be better quality. Whether you'll get more volume is a different matter, not an expert but I think that'll depend more on your unit? Don't know anything about Fodsports. How the speakers are located in the helmet makes a big difference?

I need a thinnest possible set of speakers to fit into my helmet - what thickness are they? anyone have any photos of the side profile please?
