This is safe to use, has metal and ceramic grinding stones In the shape of a V. That you draw the blade through. Making sure both sides are ground equally. You can set it at different angles, for a semi sharp finish that will hold its edge or a more razor sharp edge depending on the angle you choose. Good buy all in all.

Works like a charm!

Our knives were so blunt and we were about to buy some new ones. I saw this and thought it was worth a go. It was so easy and quick to use and now they are incredibly sharp again! Would absolutely recommend.

Great Value for the Money

So I’ve used this on my Global knives set at 15 degree and it’s worked really well. On the tomato test they’re cutting really well. They aren’t factory/professionally sharp, but for the money it cost, I’d say it’s absolutely brilliant. Perfect for home use.

Important flaws that need to be fixed.

Great idea, as far as the adjustment capabilities, but due to the way the rods and carbides are set in the sharpened, Depending on the knife, there’s up to a half inch of edge that can be sharpened... So that wasn’t designed well. And after running it through the carbides, to correct edge deformation, the edge was ruined. But the ceramics work quite well! So good for a touch up... And again, great idea as far as making it adjustable, and it’s well built as far as durability and materials go!
