Red Devil 0697GI12 RD Pro Butyl Rubber Sealant, Gray, 10.1 oz., 12 Pack

This product is used inside the corner molding of my RV. It was difficult to install the molding after putting the sealant on because I had to install by myself and it was difficult for me to install the molding without it moving out of place and getting the sealant on the side of the trailer. As for how good it works remains to be seen. Haven't used the trailer since I installed it and because it rains constantly all winter I cover my RV when I am not using it.

Product works really well to seal, but note that it is not self leveling and you will see the ridges after it dries. Not a problem for me since it was used on my RV roof.

What a great product! I purchased this to repair some leaks under the corner molding of my RV. I removed the molding first, applied adhesive corner tape and the Red Devil 06970I RD Pro Butyl Rubber Sealant. Then I reinstalled the trim molding and this really sticks and sealed the corner perfect! A little expensive, but well worth it. If you need a sticky sealant that works like you hope it should, buy this!

This stuff is GREAT!! I needed something to seal some windows that I was installing in a shed and this stuff DEFINITELY did the trick!! It's REALLY sticky, but it goes on pretty easily as long as you get it where you want it. I knew I'd be covering up the areas where I applied this with wooden trim, so I didn't care that I couldn't paint over it. Based on my experience using it I feel like it will seal incredibly well and that it will last and be trouble free for MANY years to come (which is EXACTLY what I wanted).

PERFECT! I have old U-channel weatherstripping on a 2003 Astro Van that was allowing water in through the U. A bead of this in the U-channel stopped those leaks. It is VERY sticky and stringy. But that's what makes it ideal for my application. The only downside was that, because it doesn't harden up and adhere to the two surfaces, it became almost like a lubricant. I had to secure the U-channel with two small self tapping screws from the inside where it doesn't show. No biggie, but wasn't prepared for that. It's also ideal for other small areas at the back dutch door seals. Yep, it could become an issue in the future if you forget and touch it, but it beats the heck out of having wet carpet in the van!

At first I was skeptical about this caulk/sealant after reading a review about how sticky and stringy it gets. I've been pleased with other another non silicone brand for my RV. When I started to first apply this I didn't wear gloves. Big mistake. The second big application I didn't wear gloves and I cussed at this stuff. But after a third application, all same job and third day of adhesion , I love it. Best sealant/caulk ever. I since purchased the color black along with my white. Just wear gloves.

it is sticky and makes a heck of a mess if mishandled. I used the disposable gloves when working with it. I used it on a camper van,... the roof, the wheel wells, the undercarriage.... etc etc. Sticks very well, hardens in a day or two... or three or more depending on how thick it is applied. Great stuff.
