came bent
Decent item but came bent, however, since I intended to use it as a pocket guide in the field that was not a huge concern.

Useful Pocket Guide
This is a useful little guide for identifying some of the most common butterflies, moths and caterpillars. It's not a complete reference for all-things-butterfly, but it's a slim, lightweight, laminated pamphlet that's perfect for taking on hikes, especially with younger kids who might just be interested in the names of the more commonly seen butterflies and moths. My 3-year-old daughter has learned enough from this that she can identify and tell the difference between Cabbage White and Mustard White butterflies when we see them flitting around.

Three Stars
Good, but general. I needed something more specific to the Northeast.

too expensive
This folder was much too expensive for such a small, used item. Similar new ones that are longer are half the price.

Needs a metamorphasis!
To begin, this is not a book but a laminated phamplet. The idea is good but there is not enough information about the photos listed, such as, the specific areas of North America where they might be found. I also noticed that some of the colors do not appear to be correct an example being the Luna Moth being shown as yellow. While this work does have merit it was not what I expected, especially for the cost.

Not a very helpful field guide.
Disappointed because only common caterpillar shown, a monarch. I was looking for a pocket guide with caterpillar, matching chrysalis and butterfly. Same for the moths.
