Super sharp, well made, good material
This is a nice knife. It comes really sharp and it's steel should stay sharp for quite a while. This one is flat on one side and beveled on the other. It has a nice thickness, handles well, and has a flimsy, thought nice, plastic cover for the blade end. I'll make something more substantial soon, because this knife will cut through the plastic in no time.

Very nice knife, it took a while to put a proper sharp edge to it.
I like this knife, it took me a long time to sharpen it, but once I got there it was great. It's very confortable to use and it hold the edge very well. Only reason that I don't rate it with 5 stars is for the fact that took me a lot to get it proper sharp. taking that aside, it is a great knife

Super sharp and feels good in your hand.
I really like this as a marking tool. As a knife it is a bit hard to get a good cut across wood fibers. It's hard to get enough down pressure at the tip to get it to cut like you'd want. But I'm keeping this - really like it!

Fun knife. Out of all my knives
Fun knife. Out of all my knives, this one gets the most comments. The sticker was hard to remove, but once cleaned up it looks awesome. Would definitely recommend. Very sharp and feels good in the hand.

Ordered this for marking lines, and it turned out to work be a good general workshop knife. Using it more than expected.

Excellent if it is the Ittoryu
I ordered one of these in 2019 and it looked identical to the one in the photo. It was perfectly flat on the flat side and cut wonderfully well. The precision was and still is amazing.Being so impressed by the first knife, I ordered a second Ittoryu knife in Sept 2020 and it just arrived but it says "Shintaro Japan" on the back unlike the first knife which has Japanese characters. The two knives look very similar in finish and size but the Shintaro is very slightly warped when laid on a flat surface unlike the Ittoryu which sits flush.[Update] The seller has acknowledged sending the wrong knife and has given a full refund. At this stage, it is not clear if Ittoryu is still manufacturing these knives but I definitely would like another.
