FRUSTRATION
This is a really good phone for a good price. It comes with a lot of features that I didn't except. I was really surprised them such as Face unlock and Fingerprint Sensor. Camera is really great with good quality. And the microphone that comes with are so powerful. One downside is just that the ear-buds had problems were there would be more sound on one end and less sound on the other.UPDATE review:I have been using this phone for over 4 months now and I have encounter some drawbacks and improvement.ProsThe new software update avalaible trough the "wireless update" offered some big improvement on speed and bug fixesThe phone is much quicker and responsiveConsThe bateery life is just terrible. Ever since I did the update, i could barely do 3 hours of usage. It drains so quickly. and on top of that it discharges while my charger us plugged in like WTF!!!.It becomes so frustrating because I cant even use the phone normally2nd: the phone gets EXTREMELY HOT just using the browsing the web or doing little things like listening to music.3rd: Also, the part between the LED flash and the fingerprint sensor is ALWAYS BURNING for whatever reason. I barely uses the camera or the fingerprinte feature. I think that's also was causing the batteryt drain so fast.4th: everytime I removed the battery and put it back in, the date and time changes to 01/31/2013 . This causes me unable to connect to the web because it's says that my time and date are behind. This phone has caused me too much irritation and its unbearable.Either there is a new software update thats gonna fix this or else I'm gona return it and get me another phone.

Excellent device at a bargain price! Lifesaver if you need an unlocked phone.
The iRulu V1S is quite a sleek phone. No matter which color you get, people always ask me what phone it is I am carrying! I have referred quite a few people to find out for themselves how great of a brand iRulu is!Performance:The phone runs all software without a hiccup whatsoever! Even though the operating system on the phone is already dated, there is no impact on compatibility with apps or services - Honestly, I think 4.4.2 suits this phone quite well. (In certain cases it is even faster moving around the UI or doing light tasks than my LG G3!) The Mediatek MTK6582 chipset also makes this phone compatible with several North American cell networks.Camera:Not much to say here, I honestly hate the camera. It works great if you needed to take a photo in a pinch to prove bigfoot or aliens exist, but please, don't buy this phone if you are serious about taking pictures. In all honestly though, photo quality is fair, but not up to par for 2015.Cellular performance - **Tested on Canada's Bell Aliant Cellular Network**:Note: This phone is unlocked, meaning that so long as it is in north america, it should work for at least voice and text. I strongly advise you do your research or ask your carrier - I can say though, that this phone will ABSOLUTELY not work on Verizon or Sprint. This is a GSM phone. I can confirm that this phone works on Bell Aliant and Telus however. The phone absolutely excelled in areas with spotty cell reception - I purchased this phone to be used as a data only device, so I cannot adequately comment on call quality. The phone's maximum capability is 3G on Bell's network, which is more than sufficient I would say for the majority of users. In Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, download speeds normally exceeded 1MB(byte)/s. To boot, this phone has dual-sim capability allows it to hold both a micro and (standard?) sim card at the same time; meaning you can either have a data plan on one card and a call/text plan on the other, or simply use two carriers for better coverage!Battery Life:It seems other reviewers have complained that battery life is poor - however, from checking email, browsing the web, and reading ebooks throughout the day, I would find myself around 30-35% battery. This leads me to believe that typical moderate usage will get you through the day with this phone. Plus, today's lifestyle gives several opportunities to charge up if needed (speaking of which, this phone does charge very quickly, even on weak chargers (.5A - 1A).Features:The phone yields a very close to stock android experience, and comes with all the expected apps. The UI and navigation are fluid and the specs of the phone back this. I liked that the phone also came with FM radio capability (something I wish flagship phones would do more often), and the design of this phone is one of a kind - I personally really like it! Unexpected at this price point, iRulu also decided to include a fingerprint scanner! While it does not compare to Apple's touchID or other flagship phones, it works 90% of the time on the first try. Not bad. What's in the box:In the box, you get: The phone, two screen protectors (one pre-applied), a charge/sync cable (micro usb), headphones with a media remote, and the device manual. The battery is already in the phone, though the terminals are taped off.Wrap Up:This phone works great if you need any or all of these features/functions in a phone: Dual SIM capability, FM radio, (Usability as an alternative to an iPod, small tablet, or MP3 player - with the option to have cellular data or no service at all), Sleek and unique design, and stock android experience.Love it, iRulu! Highly recommend! Can't wait for the V2S!

Very bad phone. Sounds exciting don't fall for it
Very bad phone. Sounds exciting don't fall for it, I did. This is an experimental phone that this company is basically testing on people. Not ready for reliable daily use at all!!! I've had bad phones in the past so I was going to deal with the low memory (you think you can add memory with SD card well no, apps mostly don't work like that) no apps. The battery life is so low it works more like a count down timer, no matter what you do it just goes down and down at a predictable and fast rate, you get 4 hours of play time max, and no the 2350mAh battery is not compatible. What finally made to mad though is that it just stopped working. The screen started acting up, it started behaving on its own and then it just shut down. I ended up having to go back to my old phone. #$%# you iRULU! #$%# you. Your product is cheap and you have no pride or honor to sell it. If you have the 100 to spend save it until you have 200 to spend and by a real phone from a company you know. We are talking about your phone here this isn't a game don't be stupid like I was >:(

Good phone BUT Horrible Battery life
This is a nice phone that won't break the bank. Great as an entry level android phone. The major drawback is the battery life, It's literally horrible for a phone that the display is not even HD.
