They can still fit in one bed together, but sometimes prefer to hang out separately (or to play "hoard the toys" from each other). Review: GREAT Dog Bed for 12 Dollars...but... - My Maltese LOVES this bed. I actually got him 3 of them to put in different rooms of the house. He likes to be where I am and I don't like to have to move his bed everywhere I go, so it's nice to have one in a few different rooms. ( I know, my dog is spoiled and I'm lazy. ) Anyway, this bed is really good for the price, HOWEVER I bought the smallest variety when it was on sale for 12 dollars. Apparently it is normally around 18 dollars. So my only issue is that I would say this bed is not worth 20 dollars...it is more of a 10 dollar bed for sure. But despite that it truly is a nice bed with a cute chocolate and marshmellow color scheme and the bone design is adorable! But honestly you can tell the bed is made with cheaper materials. ( Not in a bad way necessarily? It has a dimpled bottom so it very well might be slip resistant **Q: Would this fit a Maltese** A: It is a 20" x 16" bed. Does your dog like to sleep all rounded up and cuddled in? If so then it will work but if your dog doesn't sleep or lay all rounded up then no it won't work. It’s very soft, and the color makes it easy to clean and stay clean. It held up pretty well, even though he is a vicious chewer. The weak spot was the cute little bone decor on the front of the bed. He was finally able to get that pulled off. By this point he was out growing the bed, so it had served its purpose.
