Dakine Standard Kahu Surf Hat

My husband has been on the hunt for a good hat to play golf in. He wanted to make sure to find a comfortable hat that also covers his neck - and he's found it with the Dakine hat! The material is excellent quality and the design is unique but not too loud.

The hat fits as expected. I got Size S and wear a 7 - 7 1/8 fitted hat and the hat fits perfect. The hat is light weight, breathable, and comfortable. Front brim is a bit stiff so it doesn’t flip down in your eyes. The brim on the sides isn’t as wide as the front and rear brim so the overall brim isn’t too big and floppy.

I love Dakine. Have never seen a product that wasn’t well made, and has help up through A LOT. This is my new fancy gardening hat!I bought a S/M, it just fits, my head is approximately 24” around. If you measure more go up to the M/L, you can always cinch it more.

Adjustability. Hard brim.

Don’t buy, it’s so small and the brim is tiny. I’m not sure what this hat is for but not for me. You either I bet.

Although it runs small a tighter fit is necessary in bigger surf. What I like about this hat is the brim that shields the direct sun (but not the reflection off the water). What I hate about this hat is that when coming out of the water either after a duckdive or full submersion, the water inside the hat continually leaks out and runs into your eyes for about 30 seconds which is irritating beyond words.

The hat was a ridiculous style. My son laughed at me as soon as I tried it on. Sent it back and ordered an Outdoor Research Sombriolet..
