Excellent, easy to use
This is a brilliant simple phone, with good features. Perfect for what we needed it for, peace of mind knowing my grandad has a phone he can easily use. Easy to set up. It has a handy torch too. The charger is great and comes with a little stand making it very practical. Would highly recommend.

It's good while it lasts
This was good while it lasted (13 months) but now appears to have developed a common problem, accessing texts says 'Currently Unavailable', which is a major pain. Somebody mentioned they have to keep turning the phone off and restarting it every time and that fixed it. I never thought to do that. What solved it for me was swapping the Sim into the 2nd slot, which I wasn't using. Been a few days now and so far it has been fine but I'm not expecting it to last. :(This doesn't mean it will happen for you, and most of these little Dual Sim phones seem to be identical really so could happen with them too.My old Samsung E1080i developed bad reception after a few years. It was great apart from that so I should have gotten another one but the only place was a Market Seller and I'll only buy electronic if they are sold by, or fullfilled by Amazon. Too much hassle sending back if they are faulty. So decided to go for these types with the dual sims and bluetooth. As they looked very similar in design I figured it would be identical in use, but there were differences.Pros:Very good reception.Easy to use if you have used these type of phones before.BluetoothDual SimsTorchExcellent battery - I could frequently go 5 days between charges under light use which was way better than any other phone I'd had!Cons:Unlike the Samsung the keys are rubber and one of them had a tendency to stick right from the start, which was annoying but I got used to it.It does not have as setting to show 'Caller information' like the Samsung did, even though it looked to be identical in other ways.It does tell you the number that is calling - or the name if in your contacts but it doesn't do the same with texts which was a bit disconcerting. Reading the texts shows only the body of the message so if they don't add their name I have no clue who it is from.Usually you get a bit of meta where it gives the time stamp and the number/name of the phone/person who sent it. So if there is no name I can only find out by hitting the Options>Reply by SMS, not typing anything in the box that crops up but just hit Send and at that point it says 'Send To' and gives the number or contact name of the sender. (Then I will go back to Reply and actually type a reply now I know who it's from). This is needlessly time consuming.I've managed to pair a Bluetooth keyboard I use with my tablet, I figure if I'm at home and I have to text more than a few lines I can try using the keyboard. These little phones are really too fiddly to do long texts! I've been using these type of phones since the 90's and never managed to be as fast as some people hitting the keys.I'm still terribly slow at it so a few lines is my max before I end up using the Smartphone for the touch keyboard (which can lead to confusion as the reply is obviously sent from a different phone number) or email if I know they are at their computer (or get email on their phone).Anyway I thought bluetooth would solve that issue but it didn't. It paired fine but no matter what I do no letters will input from the keyboard when I type, so don't know what is going on there.I'm probably gonna throw in the towel on this to be honest, and get the Nokia 5310.If you are using it mainly for phone calls and don't plan on more than the occasional text it is probably fine I guess.I don't regret buying it, I've had good use for 13 months and it might last even longer now it can actually access the texts again after swapping the sim slot. As it was only £16 can't really complain too much.

Mobile phone
This is a good buy, however the instruction book does not give enough details on how to use.

I would question suitability for an elderly person
Rather disappointing. I consider it to be small, somewhat fragile and fiddly to use. I have been using mobiles for many years but found it less than easy to use, and I suspect many elderly people would find it a task to use.
