I got these to help keep a bandage in my groin (between privates and leg) dry while I had stitches from removal of a cyst. I wasn’t confident enough to try using them standing up, nor did I need to - I just used them while sitting on the toilet.But they worked great, as long as I ensured to keep pressure so the funnel stayed in contact with my skin (a couple times I had some leaking when I didn’t).I even found I could re-use each device several times before the plastic-lined paper got too soggy, saving money. I would wrap the bottom in a paper towel to avoid drips and place it in a quart zipper bag between uses.I didn’t want to wash and store a reusable device, plus only needed them short term, so these were a great choice.Note however that these aren’t meant to be folded, so they may not be great for travel. You can force them into a fold, but then the structural integrity is affected a bit.

I really didn't ever think I would be looking to order something like this and then post a review of it, however, my husband and I got back into camping after a many year break and started out tent camping again. I saw these under camping supplies and decided to check them out and read some reviews. After ALOT of researching and reading just about every review there was I decided on this brand and I am very glad I did. There is no having to "form" them into a box shape and folding down tabs to keep them in the box shape (which I didn't think would be any fun when you are in a stupor in the middle of the night camping in the woods and trying to get out of a tent when nature calls...I suppose you could prepare a few of the pop out type in advance but having some in what I decided was already the perfect shape seemed more important when deciding on my purchase, plus I thought if the pop out type lost their shape in the small mesh pocket in the tent I would be back to square one in trying to re-form them while in a stupor). As suggested I agree that you should "practice" at least once in the shower before trying to use them because you might think "hey I know exactly how to place this" but you really don't if you've never used something like this before! The material they are made from is substantial and does not collapse or leak and yes it definitely totally controls the "splash" factor perfectly. I can see where the flat type that need to be popped open might also be useful depending on your individual packing situation but I had no issue with these being in a cylindrical shape and not flattened. They are made of a sturdy material and I just popped a few into the corner of my backpack in a baggie when we went hiking and they kept their shape perfectly. I took an additional baggie to place the used ones in and disposed of them appropriately (at that point you could collapse them to flatten. I highly recommend this brand and will continue to purchase.

It does work, but I would definitely practice before you try to use out. I'm glad I tried in the shower first. If found out to not use too much pressure when holding it to my body. Good luck.

I'm really happy with these. They were extremely handy for pit toilets in a national park. They're sturdy and disposable, I was grateful to have brought them on my trip.

I was really looking forward to these for long road trips or gross public bathrooms. Not sure if it’s user error but I did a test run at home (which I would highly recommend) it took a while to figure out placement and how to stand. The time it took I could easily just squat.The material is a strong cardboard which didn’t hurt or feel weird odd against the body. I do wish they had different sizes for different anatomies 😂

After I instructed my 9-year old daughter how to use this funnel, I asked her to practice urinating standing up using it in our bathroom at home for the first time. After her first try she said 'No problem.' I asked 'Any leaking?' 'No'. 'Think you need to practice again?' 'Nope, it's easy.'Being her Dad, I obviously can't take her into women's bathrooms on the road and at this age not into men's bathrooms either. With this funnel she can independently and confidently use any bathroom, porta potty, etc. regardless of the grunge factor just like I can. I don't have to worry about her layering up the toilet seat, touching surfaces, etc. She's gone through about 1.5 packs over the past few months and no leaks or any other problems. Extremely easy to use and works as designed.We leave them in the car and she carries 1-2 in her pack to use when needed.Easily five stars - every one of them earned.
