I had the first one for 3 months before the “bamboo” look to the lid cracked, leaving the plastic exposed. That bottle did break, my own mistake, about 5 months after I got it. I left it opened and my toddler dropped it glass top down on granite flooring.I ordered a second one in May. I noticed the lid would randomly leak. I assumed it was my own error. After I looked closer at the silicone ring, I noticed it was ripped and was not sealing the lid properly.I love this bottle, but I need a replacement lid. Love the color and size. My water tastes fresh and clean in this glass bottle. My only suggestion is to maybe make the mouth opening a little wider for the times when you may want to add ice cubes because they don't fit. My son wanted to put ice cubes in my bottle when we were traveling out in the summer heat but could not. I had to put the ice cubes in a plastic baggy and smash them to crush them small enough to fit, he loved that part lol I love the soft texture of the part that surrounds and protects the glass. I’ve ALWAYS handwashed the wooden lid as indicated in the instructions. The wood part separated tonight, and it’s also loaded with black mold.
