Excellent computer music - Fly into the future with this intelligent album.
This is album does not sound dumb. I guess you are out of luck if you wanted something dumb. There are not too many voices/vocals on this album. This is great to listen to while studying, reading, trying to avoid the annoying music at the grocery store, etc. :) I Care Because You Do is different than Aphex Twin's famous ambient albums but it is sophisticated and hits the the spot if you like futuristic glitchy alternative noise. Still this album is mostly relaxing. Wax the Nip is my favorite track because it combines mammary glands and interesting electronic music! :) One track has some harsh noise like a saw on metal. This is harsh adventure in audio but I do not think it will cause hearing loss when listened to at a safe volume. I guess that song reminds me of Einsturzende Neubauten but better because there is more strange otherwordly sci-fi sounds. This album kind of makes me feel like I am lost in Europe too. Great album; if they legalized weed in my state this would be one of the first albums I would listen to on that stuff.

An early classic.
For me I prefer this record to most of Aphex Twin besides the ambient work in Volume II and Druqks. While I do like most of his music I feel like this one lets a few of the songs breathe more. I know people like a lot of the faster and more jungle sounds of Richard's work, but I guess I prefer the spaced out or medium ranged stuff more in line with Surfing on Sine Waves from Polygon Window and SAW II. I am in the mood for different things at different times, and this one is still as good as anything he has really done since SAW II IMO. On the whole it definitely still stands out in his record catalogue and is well worth your time.

Ventolin will melt your ears. . I LOVE IT
Ventolin at top volume will melt your ears, Alberto Balsam will help you appreciate the melodic mastery of Richard James. This is easily his best album and anyone who likes albums that came after ICBYD don't know what they're talking about. I will admit though, the cover is spooky stuff. So what, the dude is quirky, its what makes him great. Essential listening for Aphex Twin (including under his other names) are this album, Polygon Window and Selected Ambient Works Vol II. If you've read this far, you have to buy it. . . do it!

I care because Aphex twin does
I love his noise. Even that one track with the screeching tone throughout its entirety.
