Seller disagreed with me, but was gracious enough to give me a credit at the product didn't work for m. I've read that some of these devices may not work well with RainBird valves, that may have been my case, not sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars I located my 6 in under an hour. The unit performed flawlessly on our Rainbird irrigation system. First, after turning "off" the main water valve to the sprinklers, you disconnect the zone to be tested. Attach the "box" using the supplied alligator clips on wire to the "controller" and one to the free wire going to the "valve" in the zone under test. THE CONNECTION TO BOTH MUST BE CLEAN AND FIRM. I believe this is where previous writers went wrong however, in their defense, the line length from the valve to the controller (resistance) and the connection at the valve also play a role the the line shorter the louder the clicks. Keep it connected cleanly and firmly so it will produce the most current to the valve under test. I haven't hooked it to an oscilloscope yet but its probably a simple saw tooth wave generation circuit.
