Headlight fuse blows when parking or headlights turned on
I like the overall build and how the wires go together, seemed ok out of the box. Got everything wired up and once I turn on the parking lights or headlights the headlight fuse blows. Ended up finding when the switch is mounted to the dash it shorts out, checked for any wires touching and found none. Works fine when switch assembly isn't attached to the dash (hanging). Disappointing with the quality of this switch.

Junk
The switch is made pretty chintzy. When all wires were hooked up all worked but when installing the retaining nut to hold it to dash the nut stripped out without any force. No I did not cross thread it either. Wouldn’t recommend

Not well made...
The main problem with the switch is that it is loosely put together. The shaft wobbles and the nut that screws in to the main housing that holds the switch to the dashboard is made out of cheap chromed plastic and strips out incredibly easy. The only remedy for this situation would be to find a very short bolt that has the same thread pattern and drill a hole down through the center of it big enough for the shaft to go through. The item performs all the functions it claims to but is very cheaply made.

Needs a metal control knob
Installed the switch in my 1975 Toyota FJ 40. Seems to be working fine so far but control knob is very cheap plastic and set screw stripped out first time I tried to tighten it Not sure I would purchase this item again waiting to see how long the switch lasts

Shoddy craftsmanship
The bolt that fastens the switch to the dash is plastic and stripped. The switch itself seems cheap

Very good product
I used this light switch on my 1964 jeep Willys it looks very well constructed it is stamped on the base of the contacts where they mount. Very simple to use.

Painless switch but plastic parts!
Plastic knob, no wiring diagram and in a plain white box. NOT a Painless switch. Every item I've ordered from Painless has their name on it! Lesson learned. It'll go in the spare parts drawer and I'll order a real Painless switch.Update - I guess it's a Painless switch but the description is not accurate. Plastic knob and no diagram.
