A Wonderful Uke
Its hit and miss with low budget instruments. some are Junk and some are real gems. This one is a Gem !This Is a tremendous Uke for the price. it tunes nicely, and stays in tune well. no adjustments were needed at all. no fret buzz. it's craftsmanship is flawless, and astheticaly very pleasing to the eye. i can hardly put it down !it would be nice to have a Concert Uke in this very design though. The laser etched 'tattoo' is very nice, as well as the wood grains, stringing, and Gig Bag. i like the arrowhead fret inlays too. just a wonderful instrument all the way, and at a fantastic price.I was gonna get a Fluke Surf Uke ($600 + withcertain options), and i still might, but wow... this $65 Uke is awesome. i take it almost everywhere....a bike ride ? i take the Uke and play it while taking a break under a tree. Hiking ? a trip to the lake ? yep, the Uke is going !its a member of the family now ! loli highly recomend this one. lotza fun. uke on !

Great starter Uke
I am brand new to playing the Ukulele, however I've played classical piano for 20 years so I'm not new to music. As soon as I got this ukulele in the mail, I have played and played and played it!! Straight out of the box it had a nice sound, however I ended up ditching the strings it came with for some D'addario uke strings and I found it had a much more mellow and "classic" uke sound once I did. With new strings it's just like any other instrument, it took a while to normalize and stretch out, but once it did it keeps it's tune fairly well. The only time I've heard the strings buzz has been due to my own error.I only have minor nitpicks, 1) the tuning gears could be a little nicer, I've noticed a bit of slippage in the tuning gear for the C string, 2) the action is a bit high in the first two frets (what guitar isn't, though). That said, I am 99% satisfied with this ukulele!! I knew it wasn't going to be a perfect instrument when I bought it because of its price range, but it has by far exceeded my expectations and is a wonderfully unique and fun uke to play. So if you're looking for a nicer starter uke, I definitely recommend this one!

Pineapple Prince of a Uke
It is a top quality build, is gorgeous, and has great intonation at the octave and all frets in between. Also, it is a joy to hold.I restrung it with strings 2,3 and 4 of an EJ46 Classical string set so that I can tune it the same as my baritone (r/e required using 2 of the number 2 strings). This required a tiny bit of widening at the nut for the number 2 and 4 string positions so they could slide properly when tuning. The other strings all fit just fine. Wow! It sings nicely at that lower (DGBE) r/e tuning.Compared to my similarly-priced Luna Vintage Mahogany soprano, strung and tuned the same, the sound is a noticeably "rounder sounding", yet keeps its "pluckyness". It's a keeper - actually, they both are.It came with a thin (non-padded) Luna gig bag and a standard (GCEA) pitch-pipe tuner. Thanks again Luna for producing affordable instruments that make learning enjoyable!

Okay Ukelele
This ukelele comes with things that would be great for a beginner player (except it doesn't come with picks or a tuner). The strings are Nylon which are good if you want to strum with your fingers. HOWEVER, I don't know if it's the way the Uke is made but I constantly find myself having to re-tune the strings to the proper pitch by tightening or untightening them, even if I last played for awhile .-. The design is pretty but the Uke is cheaply made. If you're looking to dedicate yourself to really learn how to play, buy another Uke that doesn't have nylon strings or bad pitch adjustment. It may be a bit more expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

Great ukulele, great price
Luna makes a solid ukulele. I've had mine for 8 years and it has held up great. Glued seams are holding up well and nice hardware, stays in tune as well or better than any of the other 10 guitar or ukes I've owned. No fret buzz. Good strings. Decent tone. Only negative is the pineapple body style and the plywood doesn't project all that loud. All in all a great value.

Faulty. Returned for Refund
The groove in the nut for the "C" string was too tight which made nearly impossible to tune properly. (the knob would turn but the string wouldn't tighten/loosen until it clicked and went sharp/flat.) I am not taking a pocket knife to a brand new instrument. If Luna has no better QA than this, I am not interested in their products. Why won't I ever learn? This is the third time I have ordered a stringed instrument online and all three times were returns. This is the first time I ordered an instrument through Amazon and it came on time and well packaged. This is all on Luna. The other two returns were through musiciansfriend and one was a Les Paul. It was faulty. Can you believe that? I've learned my lesson finally. NEVER buy an instrument online. I guess that's one storefront that's going to last. I'm taking my happy butt back to the music store to offer my apology. NEVER AGAIN!
