Agree with some other reviews that this is probably the best mini-trimmer on the market. Great value for the money with the dual heads and performs very well. The guard for the trimmer is a great feature I have not seen on other products. Time will tell how long it lasts as it does not feel like solid, substantial construction. The battery life has been good so far. Even if it lasts a few years, for the price, well worth it.

Great little trimmer. Cuts eyebrows perfectly with the guard. Gets all the hair out and off of ears.

When it works it does the job , but it falls apart quite rapidly. The mechanical link between gears is problematic and at times you need to move the head left to right to reengage the gears. When it does not rotate at normal speed, you wonder if it's the battery or if it's the gears. Don't expect to last it more than 1 year., at least it was my experience with two devices

I picked up this Wahl Micro Groomsman trimmer mainly for quick touch-ups and trimming around my beard, nose, and ears, and it’s been a solid tool to have on hand. It’s compact and lightweight, so it’s easy to toss in a drawer or a travel bag without it taking up much space. The battery power is decent — I can get a few good trimming sessions out of it before needing to swap batteries. The cutting action feels precise for detailing and edging, and the smaller head lets me get into those tight spots without fuss. It’s not super powerful like a full-size trimmer, but for what it’s designed for — personal grooming and quick fixes — it works exactly as expected. It’s simple to clean afterward, and the build feels reasonably sturdy rather than cheap. If I had one tiny gripe it’s that the attachment options are limited, but since I mainly use it for small areas I haven’t missed extra guards much. Wahl is a good name brand who makes good equipment, and this is no exception. Sturdy construction compared to most any other trimmer out there. This should last a good long while. Pros: Construction is good, well made. The cutting edge is strong, works well, and has the power and force to cut even clumps of hair. I've had generic ones that bind with too much hair at a time (trimming around ears/sideburns). This one it is no problem. The unit is run on batteries, so no heat buildup, and stays cool to the touch. The handling is nice and gives it more overall length, makes it easier to handle. It also has good attachments that work! The trimmer and attachments are all easy to use and clean up very easily. All in all the performance is top notch. Cons: Its a lot stronger/faster, so it is a lot louder. When trimming ear hair, it is really loud, almost too loud. Its on the verge of hurting my ears it is so loud. I only run it around my ears for a short time, but man is it loud. Thoughts: I'm more than willing to put up with the extra noise to have a trimmer that works as well as this. If/when it breaks, I'll buy another one (unless Wahl makes a quiet version, then I'll buy that one!).

This is an exact replacement for one that I bough 5 or 6 years ago and has performed great. Sadly, the airline managed to permanently separate me from my first one. They work well for nose, ears, sideburns, mustache, etc.

Doesn’t work with alkaline batteries! Packaging states it works with either alkaline or zinc batteries. So, I stuck a brand new Energizer battery in my brand new trimmer, and it didn’t work! Tried 3 more batteries before I decided the unit was defective, and requested a replacement. Amazon wouldn’t let me return the “bad” trimmer at my local Whole Foods, which is where I normally take my (very rare) returns to be sent back. Instead, my options were to spend $8 on return shipping, or print my own label and provide my own box and bring it to a UPS Store With no other options, I dug the old box out of the recycling, and went with UPS Store return. The next day, the replacement trimmer was at my house Imagine my surprise when the new one wouldn’t work, either! Eventually, I found an old, cheap zinc battery in the back of my junk drawer. It was my last resort before I decided to spend $20 for a rechargeable trimmer over this $10 battery powered one. Imagine my surprise when it worked just fine, on outdated battery tech! So now I’m still stuck bringing the original trimmer back to a UPS Store. And my current one only works with ancient zinc based batteries. Luckily, I only need this thing to trim my nose hair (which in itself is a ridiculous thing to have to do at just 31 years old, but I digress…) but I still find it crazy that it’ll only work with zinc batteries, especially given that the literature the device comes with states it works with either type of battery. I specifically remember my dad owning this exact trimmer when I was a kid. It’s as disappointing as it is entertaining to think that they haven’t improved this hair trimmer one bit in over 20 years… If I could go back in time, I would’ve spent the $20 for a rechargeable trimmer. At least I’ll get some nostalgia out of this one. It should trim my nostrils about 2 1/2 times before I need to change out the batteries…

This product excels to trim tough or tricky areas, excellent quality blades and power. I highly recommend this product.

Bought to mainly use as nose hair trimmer. Used once, not very effective and snagged onto hair. After which the nose hair trimmer extension stopped working at all. No idea what the problem is and delivery cost for returns are too expensive. TL;DR: Skip, waste of money.
