Forgiven The Painting by Thomas Blackshear II

I saw this years ago and now I can afford to buy it. What a beautiful painting but even more is the beautiful message I love this book.

Probably originally a nice book. Bought the copy I got as a gift. It was supposed to be new, but the book jacket seemed a bit worn to me (the gold detail was not even)--there was even a spot on it (like a drop of coffee)--luckily it wiped off with a damp paper towel. Didn't have time to return and reorder by Christmas. Once it was cleaned and dusted the inside looked clean and new--I don't think the recipient noticed the jacket that much, not having seen the way it is supposed to look online...still a bit of a disappointment for me.

I love this book! The painting by Blackshear is stunning. Years ago when I first got the book, I enlarged a page so I had a semi-poster size I could put on the wall. The painting says it all. When you research Blackshear's background, you will understand how he could paint such an extraordinary symbol is God's love for us. Everyone ought to have this book... filled with stunning artwork!

I love this book for my daily devotions. I read one page and meditate on one of the scriptures highlighted below. The next day I read the following page and then back to the first page etc. until all the scriptures have been read. It is a treasure trove of spiritual awakenings. The book arrived in great condition and in a timely manner. Kudo's to all.

This book does an excellent job in describing the symbolism in the painting "Forgiven." The painting, by Blackshear, is stunning in itself, and I was pleased to discover the book that describes the painting and showcases the author's ability, history and perceptions of his art. As the painting is powerful, so is the book in describing and analyzing Blackshear's work!
