The description says "TRS" so it carries stereo audio. If you need both audio and microphone, this one won't work, but look for a "TRRS" version. If you're just looking to connect a microphone without audio, it should work on many devices, although it might not on older ones. Check the number of metal "rings" on the connector of your microphone. It can be zero, just tip and shield, or up to three metal rings (tip, ring, ring, ring, shield). The tip and the rings carry separate signals, while the stem (the shield) is just ground.

I don't know about the beats studio 3 but they fit my Mpow wireless over the ear headphones jack so probably will fit your headphone. It's really nice to have a long cord to allow me to position my chair in front of the TV, just where I want it.
