When my printer told me that the starter pack levels were low, I ordered the new (imitation) toner, but the starter ink just kept going and going, in spite of the "low ink levels" message. When I finally put in the imitation toner, it immediately printed horribly and to no avail, it just wouldn't work. I finally sucked it up and got the HP and it was great from the first page. There really is no substitute. I know the price is ridiculously high, but the quality is great, and I am hoping it will last a long time if it's anything like the starter toner that came with my machine.

A: Thank you for asking.  Sorry, no it will not.  The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw uses HP 206A or HP 206X toner cartridges.

I have the older cdw type printer. These fit fine and work fine. It depends on how much printing you do as to if use 202X or the 202A. I run through black ink like crazy but not as much of the yellow cyan and magenta…so I use 202X for blank with 202A for the others to save money…combination of these work great and last a while. I hate how expensive these are but had bad luck with generic knock offs. I use HP and deal with it cause it works 🤗
