As advertised, it does not remove large wrinkles, the way many competing products misleadingly claim to do. But it does smooth out the skin and after time does seem to have the effect of relaxing the larger wrinkles and making them less pronounced. I don't intended to be used alone, but as a preparation for the application of other moisturizing products, however it could be beneficial on its own. I am somewhat troubled by the indications that hyaluronic acid is implicated in the growth of prostate and breast cancers and therefore do not use it during the seasons when the sun is most intense. However, the substance is naturally produced by the human body and is beneficial for wound healing and cartilage function. Hyaluronic acid's operation within the body doesn't seem to be well enough understood for me to feel comfortable using it internally. However, its ubiquitous use for many years in external applications has not been identified as a problem, so I am comfortable using it as a skin care product. One can use this sparingly. Only a few small dabs will cover the exposed areas of the face. But it is susceptible to rapid deterioration.
