Excellent boots for cold weather
These boots are fantastic. If you live in a cold place that also snows (cold and wet), these are the perfect boots for a child. We live in the midwest, so these get solid daily wear from late October to about mid April, which makes these boots worth every dollar. I bought a pair last year for my 2.5 year old at the time, who loved it so much that even when we went to LA for the holidays, refused to wear any other shoes but these in 70 degree weather. These boots are incredibly easy to put on, with the handles at the sides. It gives a young child who is just learning to be independent that sense of pride of being able to put on and take off their own shoes. These are also really warm, has great traction (for playing in the snow), and stays dry. They are tough boots made to be worn outside, but also super cute and goes with anything. For sizing, my 3.5yo currently wears a 9 in Carter's sneakers, but I ordered size 10, which fits very well but with a bit of room to allow for an extra pair of socks if needed, and some growth in the next 6 months. One thing that I found to be very helpful is to go to the Bogs website, which has a pdf that you can download and print, to help you with sizing. If you print it correctly, there is a outline that should fit a credit card perfectly, and that's how you know the size chart can be trusted. I was initially going to order size 9 but changed to 10 after using that size chart to measure my child's feet. So, buy these, they are great! Lasts a long winter season for a rough and tumble child through daily HEAVY use. For the most accurate sizing, use the sizing chart on Bogs website. If you found my review helpful, please click below, thanks!

Materials are soft, warm, sturdy and most important water proof
My toddler and I both love the boots! They meet all the qualities a mom can ever ask for a good pair of winter boots. Materials are soft, warm, sturdy and most important water proof! Rubber soles are slip resistant. I bought the black space theme one, the design is really fun. My son demanded to wear them even on a non snow day. Only thing needs to improve is the shafts are too narrow. Size 7 should be perfect, however it was hard to pass through the shaft. So I have to exchange to one size up. Highly recommended.

Perfect winter boots for toddler!
I searched high and low for the perfect winter boot for my 2.5 year old toddler... these boots are the winners!-The furry lining keeps her feet warm and dry.-The handles provide her the independence to take her boots on/off like a big girl.-The soles are super flexible which makes it easy for her to walk in. She uses these as her everyday winter shoes since they’re so comfy and easy to wear.-We’ve trekked in the snow and they’re great... they’re lite (not heavy or bulky).-Fun designs! She loves the fun prints.Overall, fantastic winter boots for my toddler... met my high standards and stood up to our Minnesota winters!

Size up but overall great boots!
When I first got these I had little bit of a hard time getting my daughters foot in... not sure if she just has wide feet or not. I could wriggle them in than they would be fine. After wearing them in a bit they seem to go on fine. I really do love that these boots are cute but also seem pretty warm! I did also size up, which I would recommend! Especially if you plan on putting thicker socks on your child.

Boots you can wear in class!
Most winter boots for toddler and young kids tend to be these stiff, calf-high things that don't allow kids to maneuver very well unless they hobble around in them. Which is all well and good when you're out in the snow for short periods of time. However, since I'm not sending my 5 or 6 year old to school with an additional pair of shoes to change into once he gets there (because that means either the boots or the shoes will get lost), he ends up feeling like he's wearing two blocks of concrete on his feet when he's got his boots on all day. But these Bogs are fantastic! The bottom sole is waterproof, warm, but stretchy like crocs. The top portion is fabric, and I worried that water would seep through, but I ran the faucet over them for a minute and the water seems to bead off. I'm guessing they've been waterproof treated, and so if you wash these boots with detergent or soap, the waterproof will fade and you will need to reapply. But so far, it seems 100% waterproof as advertised. And my son loves the two handles, they're easy to pull the boots on even with gloves on. Boots with the flimsy plastic handles have ripped off in the past. Best child's boot I've come across so far.If you have questions or found my review helpful, please let me know!

Best winter boots
These are such great winter boots. Much prefer the smooth fabric over the fleecy fabric, it stays looking nice so much longer! They keep my son's feet dry & warm. The sole is very flexible and easy for him to walk in. Highly recommend and Bogs has an unconditional guarantee if you ever have an issue. Customer service is nice but a bit of a hassle- you should call and not try to email. But in the end had defective pairs replaced :)

Toasty Toddler Toes
We are a Bogs loving family! I have had the same Bogs Plimsol for the last 5 years through rain and snow ❤️My youngest is in a Montessori toddler community at the campus where I teach & her 8yobrother attends. It has a huge outdoor component (similar to wild schooling). In Nebraska, our temps are often below freezing and the kids at our school need warm, waterproof, durable gear. Bogs has our go-to and these are rated to -4°F! Perfect. They have the added bonus of being easily for her 22m old self to get on and off AND they fit under snow and rain pants. They wash their boots daily and her toes are always warm and dry!

For skinny legs!
The boot is well made however the shaft of the boot can be tough to get little feet down in. Once the boot is on (which is a struggle) they work fine, easy for little ones to walk in.
