T-Rex Lizard Accessory - Comfort Leash (XX Small)

I purchased this leash for our young Tegu, expecting to buy a larger one in the future as she grows. This leash was not built for a Tegu, and would have been better suited for a bearded dragon. It is not strong enough for a Tegu (as they are rather strong), and the leg holes are too close together for a Tegu.

The media could not be loaded.  A bit tricky to get on my skink, but once it's on he doesn't seem to mind it. The leash is pathetically short; I bought a dog leash at the dollar store and attached the two together and now it's decent.The sizing on these is really messed up; the packaging has some sizing info on it that isn't available here on Amazon, but unfortunately I threw it out and can't post it. However, I don't think it was very accurate anyway. I will say that the medium fits my Blue Tongue Skink, who is a sub-adult and about 20 inches long. However, it's perhaps a touch too small, and that makes it harder to get on, so I might suggest a large size for a sub-adult or adult BTS.I've attached a photo and video of my skink wearing it.

I bought the size small for my rescue beardie (pictured with me for sizing purposes). He's about 9 months old. After looking at several different options, this seemed to be the least difficult to put on & easiest to use. A taller person may want to purchase additional rope of some kind, as this was perfect length for me, and I'm petite. I'm considering modifying it slightly, as you can see that it comes off one side instead of straight off the top. It's easy enough to do, by making the rope a triangle and tying it where the cinch bead is with something like a twist tie. Then my beardie would be walking without being pulled from one side. For what it is, it's made as well as it can be. I gave 4 stars just because I need to do these minor modifications, but really, it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH BUYING.

The saving grace of these products is the quality of the leather. It's nice and soft and the holes are nice and big enough for getting all those long thin fingers through it.However... The Cons:The brass rivets are not of the best quality. But they serve their purpose.The rope - This rope is like velcro for lizard claws, scales, and spikes. It is very frustrating trying to use this product as-is with my tegu, iguana, or bearded dragon.I not only replaced the rope with 550 paracord immediately (strong, smooth, easy to work with), I also followed the same knot/drawstring/setup as the Fluker's leashes. It loops back and keeps the plastic drawstring behind the lizard instead of rubbing on their legs or constantly in their peripheral view (problems I noticed with this product).Plastic clip - threw it away immediately. Cheap and relatively useless (I put a loop in my rope and put in on my wrist just like a dog leash).I would still recommend this product. Because going and finding pieces of perfectly cut leather with brass rivets in them sounds like more work than the cost of this product.

Functional...In other words it does what it needs to do. My bearded dragon (Izard) is a little over a foot long. Pretty broad chested though. I actually needed a large sized leash. The nylon (?) string that comes with the leash is a nightmare to work with. Izards claws constantly get hung up in it, it sticks to his scaled/spiked skin and generally seems to annoy him. I replaced it with a string of my own. The sliding clasp in conjunction with the leather harness though is pretty good. Seems really comfortable to Izard and gives me reassurance he won't get loose from it. If I felt like nit-picking I would also complain about the completely worthless clip at the end of the default string. Completely and utterly useless. Other than that...it does what it is supposed to do. So...4 stars I guess.

I ordered Josh's Frogs leather lizard harness in XL for my adult male iguana, who is 10 years old but he is actually small for a male iguana because his 1st owner of 4 years kept him in a 10 gal. aquariuam (poor lizard!) for 4 years and I believe stunted his growth. He is still a good double handful and weighs around 8 lbs so this "XL" harness was WAY too small. These harnesses seem to be made only for beardies, geckos, anoles and smaller lizards and would only fit the juvenile tegus, monitors and iguanas. I wish they would make a separate line for the larger lizards as these are not "one size fits all" when it comes to them. I sent my "XL" back and asked for an "XXL" (if they even have them) or to just credit my account. I'd say my small adult male iguana would need at least an XXXL going by this particular very small sizing method. Bottom line: These do not fit large lizards and evenif they did, the leather is too thin and flimsy for the big guys.

Nice little harness but the leash is a bit short. My iguana that is one just fits it perfect but my son who walks it is 6 foot tall and there is very little slack from his hand to the ground. So if our iguana wants to explore we need to be standing right on top of her.At first it was a struggle to get it on but now when knows where this will end, out in our yard full of food and she is enjoying the leash and so are we.

We bought this for our bearded dragon about a month after we bought him. My son is constantly wanting to hold him, but he is very active and likes to jump around. To make it easier, we bought this so he doesn't lose him if he does decide to jump down or run off quickly. We bought the smallest size they had in hopes that it would fit him, however it is a little big and the bearded dragon can get out of it. I do like that we will be able to use it until his legs get too big to go in the holes.

Just what I have been looking for to walk my Iguana, arrived on time and instructions on how to fit correctly, however I bought the medium size (reccomended by the product/seller) to fit an Iguana for it to just about fit my Bearded Dragon. I have now ordered a large but fear this will be to small. My Iguana is a Green Iggy whom is 5 years old. This may fit a small youngster but thas about it. Please update. Could only give 3 stars.

Lovely product although I mistakingly didn’t check the size I ordered. It says on packet medium will fit iguanas but I don’t know any iguanas a medium would fit as its so tiny. Go for at least large for iguana or perhaps xlarge. Other than that, nice fast delivery

Too small, even for my female beardie :( came in good time though :)

Really good product, my bearded dragon Scar was absolutely fine with it on, was a wee bit weary about the lead being at the side and would prefer it in the middle, but I still had a good grip and control of Scar. He didn't struggle when getting it on and seemed quite comfortable with it on and was happy running about my garden with me. Even when he did struggle against me I had complete trust in the harness, and he never slipped out of it once

My son loves this for his lizard and not bad on price too.
