This is the best pet brush I have ever used. I don’t know what took me so long to pick it up. My cat is long haired and very old. She hates being brushed. This brush/comb takes out lots of hair that is just hanging off her since she cannot clean herself very well. She still hates being brushed, but I can get so much more hair off her before she attacks me! Used correctly this comb does not hurt the cat but works incredibly well to remove the undercoat. I haven’t tried it on the mats yet. I am sure it is just as effective at that job. The comb is built very strongly unlike a lot of wire brushes for cats. I can use this on my slightly tame feral short hair cat also. His fur is thick and this helps remove stickers and undercoat. Overall this brush/comb is the best⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This brush is magic! Running it through our Great Pyrenees’s hair and it’s pulling out an unbelievable amount of hair! It’s supposed to be for mats and I’m sure it works great on those too, but it’s getting so much of her undercoat out just in time for warmer months! Works great on our golden retriever as well!

Really works well on my medium haired cat if you follow directions and the mats are not too wide. Excellent for cats with undercoats. Well tolerated by my "diva" cats. Good value. Would give 5 stars but a lot of hair has to be "caught" as it's flying around or still on the cat (as opposed to fully accumulating in the comb).

I have a Ragdoll cat. Lots of fur. She will be 13 next month. I have finally found a grooming tool that is well made, does the job, and one that my cat actually enjoys. She literally stayed right next to me, and I kid you not, purred the whole time. It was comfortable to use. The fur does fly around a bit, but that wasn't a problem for me. This has definitely replaced that comb that I had been using and a brush that I never felt did much.

Great product & quite affordable. Wish I sought out sooner. A MUST HAVE for all pet owners. Cat was full of small mats & a calm 30 minute session cleared the entire coat out. De-mat with one side & de-shed with the other side. Works great. Also a great gift idea. Thank you Freshly Bailey!

I just got this and used it twice. So far so good. I was able to get a few mats out of my cats fur on her hind end and she actually purred thru her grooming. She doesnt do that with any of the other brushes I have. So im going to give this a neutral rating since I haven't had it long and update later.

This brush works incredibly well at thinning out the winter coat and removing mattes! Reviews that say the cat is in pain when removing mats are very likely trying to do it too quickly. The instructions are clear that it requires short strokes and may take several sittings. Use the side with fewer teeth, be gentle, and have patience! It's a great tool, not a magic wand defying the nature of hair. My only warning is that you may need to change clothes for/after a brushing session! Using it on my long-haired ragdoll coming out of winter looks like a cotton candy machine spitting out clouds of hair! And there's no mechanism on this brush for collecting the hair. It just flies. I recommend giving your cat a once-over with a bristled brush when you're done, to pick up the remaining loose bits.

Great little brush works well

This worked really well to remove mats on an older car that does not enjoy being brushed. It works quickly, so not a fight to get those pesky mats out.
