Ebony Wood Top Grand Piano Bench Stool with Music Storage

This is a very nice piano bench. Sturdy but not too heavy. Lovely color and finish. Even the inside has a shiny wood finish. Mine had some minor defects/gouges, likely from shipping, but it wasn’t worth the hassle of shipping back. It’s still pretty.I love that it can store my sheet music.It’s easy to slide down the bench to change octaves while playing, which is the primary reason I wanted a proper bench.It was a bit difficult to put the legs on because the lid was already attached, and it kept trying to snap closed on my hands (not due any fault of the closure, it was just an awkward angle). Otherwise, it’s a good bench and worth that small hurdle.

I wanted a full-sized bench for our Yamaha digital piano (P35 on an L85 stand), since a 2-person bench is a LOT more fun than single-seat benches (not just for duets, but also for lessons and for sharing with friends and family), and I decided to take a chance on this one since it was so much cheaper than the other duet-sized benches. Also, I grew up playing on a hard wood bench top and prefer that style to the padded benches that dominate the Amazon listings.Now that I've put it together and tried it out, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. (No instructions were included, but assembly was easy: just insert the legs and tighten four nuts with the included wrench.) It feels quite solid to sit on, and the glossy ebony lacquer finish is a decent match for my matte-black piano. The music storage under the seat is fairly spacious and is able to hold several books or a lot of sheet music (but I wouldn't want to strain it...the bottom is basically thin particleboard and it looks like it could easily be broken if you tossed a heavy book into it carelessly), but honestly I don't really care since I keep my music on a bookshelf.It's not going to be pass for a high-end furniture product on close inspection, but it looks perfectly reasonable in our music room next to a low-end digital piano.

It was easy to put together and she loves this bench for her piano. A great gift for her and to be able to continue playing her piano on this lovely bench. Also being able to put her music books and sheet music in her bench box where she sits. Thank you!

This a good deal for a piano bench. It is solidly made and looks great (in black). I gave it a. 4 because There was one small chip that cannot be seen easily. Also, on the inside, the sides of the storage compartment are rough.

Beautiful solid wood bench, it’s sturdy, easy to assemble and beautiful. We purchased this because the bench that we were given with our used piano purchase was not sturdy. This one is a great value for the price

Value! I brought one for myself, and then a second as a gift. After assembly, be sure to tighten it up after a couple months. This gets Duh Job done and is very sturdy. It looks great.

Just what I wanted! My former piano bench, which came with the piano, was very nice, but it had a padded seat. Unfortunately, my cats used it as a scratch pad. I went in search of a simple but elegant plain wooden bench that would match my piano - and found it! This is exactly the same size as my previous one, same beautiful ebony wood finish, and now cat proof! Ample storage space for piano music.

Bought for my daughter for Christmas, and SHE LOVES IT!!!
