There is a center section that locks the mount and phone cradle when you have it in the position. With the multiple ball joints it can be mounted about anywhere. Best mounting set up I have had. The actual phone cradle has 4 corners that hold the phone in position. These expand and contract to fit about any phone. I have an iPhone 7 plus and there is a lot more space. It is thick to accommodate phone cases also. All 4 corners expand and contract as one by pressing a button and moving it manually. This seems to be connected to a plastic(?) gear set up and is a little hard to get used to. It feels like the weak link in the item, but time will tell. ### ⭐⭐ Anti Theft is a JOKE *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2020* The ''Anti Theft'' feature is an absolute JOKE. Just a check box feature, when you consider that all you need to do to seal the phone is press a button and release it.
