Isn't to thick but doesn't have that thin, cheap feeling. The flower band is fully adjustable with a tie in the back so it won't be too tight on baby's head. The boarders that it came with were a plain rectangle and then a more decorative picture frame one. The frames themselves are made of a thick felt rather than a thin, cheap flimsy one. The flower headband does need to be left out as the flowers were flat when they arrived.
