The zippered up front really helps them go on easy. They also have strings to cinch them closed at the top (like on a hoodie) so no water is getting into these.I used them for gardening in the early morning when everything is still damp. Usually whenever I come back in, my socks and shoes are soaked beyond belief. Plus they help my shoes stay clean and I don't have to worry about tracking grass clippings or leaves all over the house.
