The newly developed 13 mm drivers allow the ATH-CKR5iS in-ear headphones to deliver powerful audio with astonishing depth and clarity. The performance is further enhanced by machined brass stabilizers that absorb unwanted vibration for crystal clear mid- and high- frequencies, and by four sizes of interchangeable ear tips for a customized fit that seals in the sound. The integrated controller and microphone let you easily answer calls and control playback of music and video on compatible smartphones and other devices, including Android, iPhone, iPad and iPod. The ATH-CKR5iS in-ear headphones are available in black (ATH-CKR5iSBK), white (ATH-CKR5iSWH) and red (ATH-CKR5iSRD). Review: Good For The Money - Except for a slight shrill note or two in the higher ranges, the 13mm drivers pump out some pretty good sound, especially the bass, which does not all all dominate the music. My first test was Humble Pie's "30 Days In The Hole", and the first drum licks and bass notes came through exactly as Audio-Technica intended. I hesitated buying these, however, and yes, the price increase of $10 as of today would have set me firmly in the Sony MDRXB5OAP camp, which you can still pick up for about $30. But now that I have these, I will still recommend the Audio-Technica phones as being worth the money. In the past, friends have told me that my voice quality in phone calls suffered with other headsets; These have received excellent reviews, no matter how far the mic is from my face. Actually, the mic hangs down almost belt-high, and I was concerned that it would not pick up well. It will, though I still have a concern that in noisy places, there could be an issue. In my opinion, these aren't for exercising. I wish a simple clothing clip had been included, something I will purchase. With a clip, you could also position the mic better if that becomes an issue. Also in regard to exercising, the earbuds do stay in my ear fairly well, needing only an occasional nudge, but I can say with a good degree of certainty that this would not be the case with exercise other than walking; They would need better ear support. You won't find this sound in a Bluetooth in this price range, so if you want a sound investment at a reasonable price, then I recommend these. Build quality is good, in spite of the low-hanging mic; The mic itself is excellent; And the sound is good, even if being a little shrill in the higher notes. I give these a generous 5 stars. Review: Great audio quality coming from urbeats - I started using these after my urbeats were stolen/lost. For the price, I was a bit concerned that the audio quality would be bad, but audio technica is a pretty well known brand, so I decided to try them out. So far, so good. They come with multiple ear pieces to fit your ear, and I had fairly good luck finding the right ones. The carrying bag is pretty nice too, but nothing amazing. Personally the one that came with my beats were a little better. My favorite feature is the analog volume control which works on every singe device. For best quality, try keeping the slider near the middle and increase the volume on your device. Not that it's all that noticeable. So why 4 stars? Well nothing is perfect. The overall look of the product is a little on the cheap side, and the placement of the mic/volume controls is kind of weird. Using them on your desk is no issue, but while running or moving, it kinda weighs it down. Compared to the urbeats, I would say it's very close. The urbeats are inevitably a little better, from all the small things that beats includes like the carrying case and the aluminum build, to actual audio quality. But for close to a $100, its debatable whether they are worth it. Audio quality is high on both headphones, and no complaints on quality of either. All in all, these are an awesome pair of headphones, and undecided folks look no farther. All features work on all devices, (apple or android or windows...or whatever) and for $30, it's impossible to go too wrong.

An unappreciated value in a saturated headphone market
I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I've used enough headphones and audio products to know what sounds good, even if it's not excellent. I use headphones mostly for phone calls and listening to audiobooks, with occasional music listening. TL;DR - These headphones have excellent clarity for vocals, and mild bass, it's there, but it's nothing to write home about. They're comfortable enough to wear for 3-4 hours, and in my experience stay put during jogging/running. They DO tangle, but so does almost every other headphone, and not near as bad as the Audio-Technica ATH-CKM55BK Noise Isolation In-Ear Headphones I upgraded from due to a much stiff cable. After using the ATH-CKM55BK Headphones for over a year I was really pleased with the audio clarity and fit, but wanted something with an in-line mic so I didn't have to swap to an old OEM pair to talk on. I tried Zipbuds SLIDE Sport Earbuds with Mic but the audio came across rather muddy, especially for voices; strange for a product that touts clarity in it's description and reviews. I even contacted the CEO using his provided email regarding it and the second pair they sent had the same problem. I say all this about another product to say this: These headphones are an outstanding value for the quality they provide. It's easy to look at the critical reviews from people with high expectations used to high-end products and think these are sub-par headphones. Are they the best ATH headphones around? The truth is on an honest scale of headphones they're probably about a 3.5/5 - 4/5 but that feels low when compared to a pair of headphones with 500+ reviews and 78% 5-star even though most of those reviews are from people who don't have much, if any, experience with quality headphones.

Subpar for AudioTechnica
A few months ago I bought a pair of ATH-M50X over the ear headphones. I've been in love with ATH ever since. After losing my in-ear Harmon buds, I decided to give ATH a shot to Full the role. I wanted something with good audio quality and an inline mic. I was a little disappointed to see that the mic was down at the y-split, meaning it rested near my lower chest. Further, if the volume control was set above about 75%, everyone I talked to reported my speech echoed with about a 1 second delay. As the speaker I couldn't hear this, but I did let my girlfriend borrow the headphones to call me to confirm the behavior. I was also let down by the fact that the carrying case was a soft velvety sack (at least it wasn't a cinch but rather a snap bar). Finally, audio quality... Where do I begin. I listen to mostly rock with some jazz and funk occasionally. I also listen to talk based podcasts every day (shameless Dave and Chuck the Freak plug here...). Given my preferences, I like crisp and clean highs and mids with a punchy, but not overpowering, bass. Unfortunately, these were sort of inverted for my preferences. Singing and talking alike sounded just a bit muffled and things like low toms, bass drums, and bass guitars were a little weak and muddy, for my taste. All that said, you have to consider price point. For where they're at, and if you get them on sale, they're definitely not the worst headphones. I also tend to be critical and picky when it comes to audio gear...

Disappointing
Audio Technica makes some of the best headphones on the market at their pricepoints, but this pair of headphones is the worst I've ever used. The comfort of the earbuds and sound quality are nothing to complain about BUT the unit I received repeatedly paused songs randomly. Once I pressed play, it would pause the song within 5 seconds. Additionally, my unit would rewind/fast forward songs randomly and activate voice control. I never figured out the cause of this, and Amazon kindly offered a full refund. While I hope that I just received a bad egg that Audio Technica failed to catch, I definitely cannot recommend this product to anyone.

Good sound, what's to be expected from AT but they're too long for me
Good headphones, except the earbuds themselves are a little bulky and have fallen out of my ears under their own weight when sweating, and the second and more inconvenient of the 2 issues I have is how long the headphones actually are, didn't realize it when I purchased them and would have gotten normal ones had I

Definitely worth the purchase
These are very good headphones that have a premium build quality and design. The sound is about as good as you can get for a decent price. For my personal preferences, the microphone box is a little bit too big, and is positioned a little bit too low, but it functions perfectly fine. The volume controller is a rotating wheel which I prefer over a volume up button and volume down button. Did I mention the amazing sound? It's amazing. Bass is great of course with with mids and highs that come in clear and crisp

Very good fidelity and fit.
Great buy for the money. Full spectrum sound, with decent bass / treble balance. (These buds do NOT exaggerate the bass, which is more than OK with me). Several sizes of ear cushions are included, which allows for a perfect fit.
