Lee Precision 50 Beowulf Very Limited Production 4-Die

I have many Lee dies and these are perfect for my Beowulf. Easy to use and adjust. The price was great.

The setup was simple enough. Everything worked as it should. My only struggle was seating FTX bullets without compressing the flex tip. Outside of the flex tip, I had no other issues and even managed a workaround. It would have been perfect if I were loading FMJ, JHP, or Brass bullets. I am sure it was a user issue and not the die.

Typical Lee dies. Good quality and price point. Not much else to say. Not real sure about the sellers “very limited” title though. Seems like a shady business practice.

Great buy. Chamber well (problem with this caliber) Loading block suggested for this caliber tight tolerances on some barrels.

As always Lee Precision delivered precision quality!! All four dies preformed as designed and had no issues. I reloaded my first 200 rounds of 50 Beowulf without any problems. So I thought back to some of the negative reviews I read about 50 Beowulf Lee Precision dies and shook my head and said to myself let me share something. First thing I do is spray them with Hornady’s gun and dies cleaner; the one with the black label. Then let it dry a minute or two. I use Hornady’s Unique case lube, the one in in the white tube. I find it works best; even better then the Lee brand case lube! But I have never had a problem Lee dies, ever!!!! And I’ve been reloading for 20 years with Lee Precision dies!!!! Now my 50 Beowulf rifle that I custom built never goes hungry!!!!

I love lee dies, they're all I use because they work and cost a fraction of the competitors. That being said 2 main things kept this set from having 5 stars. 1. There is no load data sheet, I don't like a lot of clutter at my reloading bench while I'm working usually I have my data sheet my components and the weapon I'm reloading for. Now I have to have my laptop taking up space too. 2. The sizing/decaping die is not carbide which means you have to lube the cases. These are cases with straight walls with a very minor taper lee dropped the ball on this one a carbide dies would save the extra step of lubing. These dies won't get a lot of use because I have no practical use for my 50 Beowulf other than this is America and if I want to own a 50 cal then by God I will. So this gun will just be for grins at the range or cleaning when the daughters bring boyfriends over. So I have no doubt these will last my lifetime.
