Perfect present for my Dad who likes to read in bed

Despite the small size, it's sturdily made and I find it will hold large-format volumes of music with soft covers such as scale books and fakebooks provided you use a hardback book or a stiff board behind it on the stand as a backing. The metal clips are long enough to keep the pages open without covering the content, even with oversized books.One star deducted because the groove in the front for holding the ends of the metal clips is very crudely routed, to the point that I'll have to finish it by hand. Looks like something a 12 year old did in their first woodwork class...

I bought this to stand my tablet on to follow recipes. The bamboo looks very classy and it's easy to move around the kitchen depending where you are working. The stand is capable of lots of different angles to get the best position for your tablet etc. The stand is extremely well made and is a delight to use.

Value for money

This book stand has obviously made to high standards. It's beautiful to look at, with or without a book displayed on it. The wood has been finished to a smooth, golden brown surface. The clips holding each page of the book are attached to the stand perfectly - not too stiff and not too loose. It's such a simple object really, in the big scheme of things, and yet it has revolutionised the way I often read - i.e. reading while standing and doing other jobs in the kitchen intermittently. Before I had this book stand, my book would be flat out on the counter top, taking up room and getting sticky from whatever I was cooking. I absolutely love my new book stand.

I could have done with this years ago. It is well designed and constructed and above all strong enough to grip both sides of an open 400 page book. Perfect.

Great item. Bought this to replace a metal one I lost during a house move. It is well constructed and the page holders hold even my biggest books. Wood is cut nicely and I'm sure this will last a long time. It also looks good in the kitchen, which is also important.I would recommend this product.
