The bad reviews left here are all based on a previous vendor who is no longer selling this product. I ordered this foam in August of 2017 and I received 12 sheets in pristine condition. The box was a little beat up but who cares? This foam is designed to absorb some sound but not "sound proof" anything. It works very well for it's intended purpose which was treating a booth for voice-over work. I wanted to buy the 4" inch thick version and would have done so if it was available, however, I found a distinct and unexpected advantage with the 2" - not only was it cheaper and available directly through Amazon, because of it's design, the pieces lock together giving me an option to use 6 "double" sheets or 12 singles. For my purpose, six double sheets were an excellent solution. Your mileage may vary. Because I was mounting these inside a Whisper Room brand isolation booth, I wanted to use glue-backed Velcro strips for mounting each sheet. This proved to be a problem because the glue backing did not stick to the foam as easily as I had hoped. I easily solved the problem by using a very small amount of Gorilla Glue between the Velcro and foam. If you plan to use Velcro to mount your foam, follow the instructions for Gorilla Glue and you'll be fine! Add bass traps to the mix and now my booth is perfectly suited to recording pristine, noise-free tracks. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Seller is not honoring price/description advertised. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2012* Hello,This product, a box of 12 panels of 2'x4'x2"thick foam was on sale for $39.17, a 93% savings from the regular price. I purchased a qty of 3, which should be 3 boxes of 12 panels. What I received was 3 panels, 25% of 1 order at a steeper rate.I've contacted Sam Ash, who tell me it's not their issue, but instead Auralex and/or Amazon's issue. All I am doing is getting the run around when all I would like is what I ordered 36 panels of studio foam to complete my home recording studio.After a couple more phone calls to check the status of the mixup, Sam Ash keeps telling me they are not responsible for the items listed on Amazon, it's either the manufacturer or Amazon, and blamed Amazon for posting the item with an incorrect item description.
