Very good product, high quality with the rag-top type material and fits and works perfectly. It is easy to put on and take off. Very happy with the product. The box was missing the tailgate seal but after 2 tries Lund did send the proper item on the third try. They even called me to make sure I was happy so Lund is an excellent company.There was an issue with the rebate, though, as they didn't accept the bar code at first since it didn't look like a regular UPC. But it was the only bar code on the box and sent it in and they rejected it. But raising an issue with them caused them to quickly accept the rebate forms - so all is good now. But who likes rebates - especially mail-in rebate for on-line orders that needs you to fight for your rebate??? They really should get to an electronic process that is applied at checkout, especially for online orders.So it's an excellent product, with good customer service that really wouldn't be needed if the box contained everything it's supposed to and the rebate process was more seamless.Still I would buy it again - very happy with the product and a great price for such good quality.

Purchase/Shipping:I researched this product for several weeks both online and at local retailers. The online price was the best deal by as much as 50% less vs. what local stores wanted and they still had to order it for delivery to the store.The standard shipping was reasonably quick and arrived in a large but easy to handle factory box. Use care if cutting open the box with a knife, as there is minimal padding to prevent cutting the cover.Installation:I installed it myself in about 45 minutes. The instructions were decent; reading them once or twice did the trick to understand the recommendations from the manufacturer. For my particular installation, factory under-the-rail bed liner with separate rail covers or rail caps, I simply needed to trim the bed rail covers flush with the edge of the bed. I accomplished this with a pencil to mark the position of the locking brackets and a strong utility knife to cut and score the plastic bed rails and snap off the excess with pliers. Once that was completed simply affix the included gaskets/seal around the bottom of the cover to create a seal and adjust the height of the locking brackets and your done.Use:The tri-fold design allows you to partially cover the bed, but your choices are a completely covered bed or 1/3 covered. There is not a way to secure the cover 2/3's of the way. In the 1/3 bed cover position the cover snaps on each side with tabs to secure it. The tabs, which are at the front or nearest the cab of the truck, stay visible all the time but after a few weeks you hardly notice them when not in use. This cover has a very study metal frame, the instruction limit the weight to approximately 200 lbs, and while I've never tested that limit, my 5 year old boy climbs on it all the time without me worrying of damaging it or him.On the road:Weatherproofing is pretty good. I've taken the truck through high-pressure automatic car washes and the bed stays dry. And with transporting cargo on rainy days on and off the highway I've had no problems with water getting in. The instructions do point out that it's not a waterproof installation, but I have no complaints.At highway speeds there is some rising up of the cover in the middle to the rear, which is to be expected of the vinyl/material cover, but nothing too annoying or extreme.Conclusion:Over all I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend this product for permanent use. And with the ease of a one-man (or woman) fold up and removal for full use of your bed, it can't be beat.

Nice cover and fits well on my 2006 F150 with a few easily fixed issues.First, as another reviewer commented, if you have the plastic bed rails, the clamps put stress on them. I simply used my dremel tool and cut out the 1/4" needed so the clamps hit the metal beneath the plastic bed rail covers. Took about 15 minutes...or one beer.Second, if you have the plastic bed rails, there will be a gap, about 3/8", at the front of the bed. My kit came with a piece of weather stripping to put on the cover in the front to fill this gap. However, it was a bit small and I still had a gap. Easy fix with some thicker weather stripping.Other than these 2 small issues, so far the cover fits well and looks nice also. It's the perfect cover for my needs and easily removes and installs back in a few minutes. I'd recommend it, especially at this price!Update, 3 years later, and last winter one of the hinges broke. I wrote to Lund and they sent me 4 brand new hinges at no cost and no questions asked! Great customer service and I'm still very happy with the cover.

The release mechanism is simpler and folds completely out of the way. Unlike my old cover where the handle stuck down a bit (it could be accidently hit and released when loading tools etc. Its a good product!

If you have an F150 or similar, forget about those stupid clamps that are tethered and hang down for the cover portion closest to the cab. Just use the vertical clamps that are in the rails that go across the tonneau cover. Trust me, it will save you tons of time and frustration from trying to use both the tethered clamps and the clamps in the rails. The instructions don't make any mention of not using those stupid ones that hang down if you don' need them. So frustrating. I also cut the plastic piece away where the clamp goes as they show in Step 3 on front cover of instructions.The clamps for the tailgate end are spring loaded so they are super easy to use.Once on, and forgetting about the instructions fiasco I really like the cover. I had a different one from same manufacturer for 7 years before it broke. This is better quality it seems. Maybe just don't follow instructions if you have a F150 and it will be FAR easier. I need a drink.
