**Q: Does it come with batteries, what type?**
A: Does not include battery. Takes a 9 volt battery (sold separately)

**Q: Will it detect metal through wood?**
A: Yes it will detect metals through wood, although I'm not sure of the distance it would detect through wood compared to dirt.

**Q: Where is this product made?**
A: It doesn't state the country of the manufacturer, but my guess would be China

**Q: I can’t get a battery to fit in for doc**
A: Try a different brand type 6F22 also make sure the battery is placed in the right direction. if you look inside the battery compartment you'll see that one hole is bigger then the other and if you look at the battery terminals one is big then the other and make sure they match to each other.

Simple to use, does read from the sides too. A little practice and you’ll be good to go. Does not have a sensitivity option, on or off is it. The led light is a nice add on to verify it’s on and of course to see. Good item, priced fair and is rather durable. I would not recommend submerging underwater. The top half is completely sealed to the on off button. I would go to the button but stop short of getting it wet.
