Used to power a 7" plasma ball for a wizard staff project. Provides plenty of power. The adjustability is great, but the mode select is... not.

I purchased this to replace the missing power supply on My weather-band radio. I needed 11.4 volts. The new power supply was a lot of money. This works perfect. This Buck converter can be used to charge lithium batteries. Input voltage can be adjusted up or down. Input 4 to 13vDC and the output .5 to 30VDC. Easley done pressing buttons and watching LCD. I can use it to power it on other items. Easy enough. It is also can be used as a battery charger for Lipo batteries. Did this also when my RC battery charger failed. This is a lot of Bang for the BUCK. ( no pun intended. < LOL>

This can power DC devices which gives you control of fast/slow you want things to go. I control a pump and this works flawless. Update: Directly to the battery is fine. I had the Red USB power blow out/smoke during an ERR/OPP twice before I could turn it off and nothing was connected. The solar charger 12v output it was connected to fried the device.

This is a great little DC buck power supply. It has many features that are easy to use. It can be used as a meter to test voltages, it can be used as a variable power supply, a constant current battery charger and more. The directions can be downloaded from a link on the Amazon page. It was a little confusing at first as to what they were calling certain things but it dosent take long to figure it out. It has three different inputs: USB, 5 volt micro USB and hardwired. It has short circuit protection, over temperature protection, over current protection. This little variable buck power supply is perfect if you like to tinker with electronics, it is a great item for teaching basics of DC power and current. I would recommend this to anyone and the price is great.

I tested it With a 12v 0.5 AMP LED light bulb and the light was nice and smooth. Pictured above was 10.7v in and 30.0v out directly into a meter. My unit can output 30.4v total. Some of these 1 stars are from folks who CLEARLY have no idea what an Ampere is. My only complaint is there is no Manual and the QR didn't work for me. Still easy to figure out and there is enough info here on this page.

The knobs are a bit finicky and seem prone to breaking off, as they protrude quite a bit. And you really have to crank them to change the voltage, since they are trimpots, not proper linear pots. But for the price, it's great! It does its job, shows current, voltage and power, and seems accurate to within 100mV. Very handy to have a pocket-size variable power supply that can run off a USB battery bank.

Works ok for a computer, but better with a brick that puts out higher voltage. I power 2 small desktop fans made out of 3d printed materials at 9.2v without a problem.
