iPad OS 13, Brydge Keyboard, Mouse support makes this keyboard worth it!
I’ve had the Brydge Pro for about 2-3 weeks now. I Really like the keyboard and it really turns the iPad into a MacBook like feel. The appearance is really nice and the added weight is expected with a premium style keyboard. I do have a few issues with it though. Upon receiving the keyboard, I had to remove my tempered glass screen protector in order to even use the keyboard. It was such a tight fit with the protector on the ipad wouldn’t seat correctly in the hinges. I contacted Brydge about this and I was told that i could purchase they’re $29.99 screen protector that is “guaranteed” to work. So much for the $20 screen protectors I paid for prior to this purchase. I feel like that should be included with they keyboard at the price point you pay for it. I have not been able to get the Brydge to come up to a full 100% charge even after charging the full 8 hours upon initial use. I’ve gotten as high as 98% and currently it’s at 95% while on the charger as I’m typing this. There’s also some type of black spots as shown in the picture that are on the keyboard. I’m sure it’s just some sort of mass production mishap that doesn’t affect the functionality. You can barely see it but it does take away some cool points for not catching this type of thing in QA.I haven’t tried the usb mode but I’m sure it works just fine. The hinges are very well made and can support the weight of the iPad in most positions until it gets to far back without your hands resting on the keyboard. The rubber feet on bottom are very good at keeping the unit stable on any surface. Brydge did a really great job in designing this unit. I would recommend a second or third generation with trackpad support since the iPad OS is capable of mouse support now. That would be awesome.Other than that, I love my new keyboard!!

Great keyboard with back protection, but no protection for sides or corners.
Quality weighty keyboard for iPad Pro 11inch. Makes iPad pro feel like a Mac book. Even has a magnetic back to protect the back of the ipad. The only thing i did not like is that it did not protect corners or sides at all. Also, the gaskets on the hinges seemed a little flimsy. Other than that, the keyboard is very well made and has backlit keys.

Overall function and aesthetics are favorable
I’m using this on an 11” iPad Pro purchased Jan 2019. Adding this keyboard made the look and feel similar to an 11” laptop. My wife even referred to it as such. No trackpad on this keyboard; it was designed prior to trackpad / mouse support in iPad OS. If there was one thing I found slightly irritating, it’s the placement of the space bar so close to the edge of the keyboard area. Sometimes my thumb hits the edge of the keyboard well instead of the actual space bar. I’ve learned to overcome that; took a few days to get in the habit of slightly elevating my thumb so that it would hit the space bar cleanly.Other than that, it’s good solid design; battery life seems to be very good. The charging cable is USB-C, so I can use the one that came with my iPad if necessary. This is good: the one that shipped with the product didn’t work; contacting Brydge support got a quick response and they’re sending a replacement at no cost.

Disappointing
Really heavy and not very functional without a trackpad/mouse.Battery life is great. Backlit keyboard is nice.Overall, I'm disappointed--should have waited for Apple's version.

The (Nearly) Perfect iPad Pro Accessory
This keyboard is as amazing as advertised. I have replaced my 2015 MacBook Pro with an 11 inch iPad Pro while taking online classes and I love typing on a responsive, elegant device. I hate the newest Mac keyboards due to the lack of key response (like typing on a touch screen) and prefer some key travel without. This offers that tactile feedback without the full key travel associated with keyboards of the fruit colored iMac and Dell days of computer hardware.I have used this for an entire day of writing papers, searching for references, applying for scholarships, writing and answering emails, playing a couple of games, cruising Amazon and Groupon, and checking in on the interwebs In general and only been able to drain it down to 57% battery (from a full charge).I was a little disconcerted to get a magnetic protective cover that did not fit my camera bump due to the change to the second generation iPad, so I sent an email to the support team to ask if they had a redesigned cover that I could pay to exchange (thinking I had just had a mental lapse and ordered the wrong model). Within 24 hours I received a response letting me know they had a updated the design and would ship a replacement (free of charge) once it was available. GREAT customer service.I will warn the average user about two aspect to take in to consideration. The first is the weight. The combined weight of the iPad and keyboard make this a bulky package. I like the heft and reality of it, but if weight is a concern, get a MacBook Air or a plastic Chromebook. The second is an odd one to get accustomed to, but not a deal-breaker for me. The keyboard is incredibly responsive over the Bluetooth connection. Except for double letters. If you were to type the word “letter” you would have to hit the T key at least three times to get it to respond or slow down to less than hunt-and-peck typing speeds. Once you are accustomed to it, it is fine, but it does take some time to get adapted.Since the release of this keyboard Brydge has released the same design with an integrated trackpad. Without having that for comparison I would suggest that it might be the only iPad accessory more necessary than this keyboard.Update: I feel the need to update my review in response to recent interactions. I was notified a few weeks back that the replacement magnetic cover would be shipping early the following week. Since it had been a few weeks I checked in to see if there were any updates and received a response the next day that was nearly word-for-word the same reply I was sent on initial inquiry. What I thought was excellent customer service was only an automated response that has not been addressed with any sort of personal response to a direct inquiry. The product is fantastic, but I am much less enthusiastic in my support of the company.
