Medium weight; not like a dress shirt but not quite like an overshirt. I would call it a "winter weight shirt" for here in NC. Main issue is sizing. I am 5'8, 155 and usually wear a 16 x 33 shirt which sometimes is a M, sometimes a L, depending on where you buy it. The Joes M fits perfectly right out of the box BUT it could not stand to be washed; any shrinkage at all would make it too tight and the sleeves too short. Maybe even a little tight, like you could not wear a heavy tee shirt underneath. So I went with a large and washed it HOT. It ended up kind of big but not bad. Neck 16 1/2. Sleeve 34, a little long. Overall not bad. A few other measurements in picture. Nice and soft. Does not wrinkle much. No worries with special washing instructions!
