I am an engineer and into every kind of bikes, when I replaced the lever set braking power increased to my surprise. Probably the geometry is better than the stock plastic unit or the plastic unit flexed... I really dont know. One problem is the brake cable attachment point. You can easily touch it by mistake and the tiny black cable holder slips from the cable. It is easy to put it back but it could have been better.
