After coming across this item, I could see by the images that this one was different. Unlike similar products, this dryer vent cleaning kit comes with a detachable long flexible wire with a handle that allows for more control over positioning the suction hose where you need to clean. It comes in a zippered bag for neat storage and is composed of three parts: the vacuum hose adapter, the suction hose, and the guide wire. It is very easy to assemble/disassemble and very easy to use. Suction strength control is in the form of a ring that can cover or uncover 3 holes, giving it 4 different settings. I used it with both an old Filter Queen canister vacuum and a new Shark Lift Away upright. The adapter fit both perfectly creating a tight seal around each hose without any gaps that could reduce suction. After using it on the dryer itself, I took it outside to clean the vent from that side. I had no problems maneuvering the hose and guide wire, and the suction was more than adequate. If you are looking to reduce fire hazard from built up lint in your dryer vent, then this is the product to use. Pros: Easy to use; Does what its supposed to do; Great value Cons: None ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but can be better *by C***. on January 14, 2020* I purchased this to use to get the lint out of my dryer in hard to reach area. The adaptor to the vacuum hose is loose, however, when the vacuum is on it will hold it in place (not very sturdy) from the vacuum air. The hose is corrugated and has blue lines makes it hard to see if the vacuum is sucking the lint from the hard to reach places through the hose.I assume it does since it does suck up the lint from the removal lint screen pretty good. I would suggest to the manufacturer if they can have a plain (not corrugated) clear hose, so one will be able to see if the lint is being sucked thru the hose, this way, one will be able to tell if all the lint are removed in the hard to reach areas that cannot be seen.It's to cold now, I will give the hose a try for the outside dryer vent, the hose is not that long so I don't know if it will reach to the bottom of the dryer vent.It's a pretty neat gadget to clean the lint out of hard to reach places of the dryer. If the gadget have a non-corrugated clear hose and a foot longer it will be better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works! *by S***R on March 19, 2023* I have a 3-globe chandelier in my kitchen that really needed cleaning. No matter what I did, the globes were not going to come off. The end of the vacuum hose was too wide to get in beside the bulbs, then I remembered I had this. I ordered it after reading plenty of reviews and thought meh for the price if it doesn't work it's not a great loss. I'd put it in the closet with the vacuum and forgot about it until today.It worked perfectly on the chandelier, then I continued on to the dryer. The first time was great, pulled a lot of stuff - until it didn't. Even though my vacuum wasn't full, I emptied the bin to see if that would help. Nope. Then I held the blue tube up to the sunlight and there it was = lint plugged in it. I got some out with my finger, but not enough. I keep an old BBQ skewer for odd jobs like this and patiently pulled it all out. Voila! I had to do that twice, but WHAT a difference! After each cleaning, it sucked up a ton of lint and sand from my dryer vent. I live in Hawai'i and had no idea how much sand was in there! I was even able to suction out link in the small crevices of the removable lint trap. So, if yours suddenly stops working I'm guessing it could be clogged too! I also slid it behind and under my stove, under my fridge as far as I could, and a few other tight areas that the vacuum isn't able to reach.
