Jose's Whole Bean Coffee, French Roast, 40oz

Why would you pay so much for this coffee online when Costco sells it for half the price. This applies to all Jose's coffee. I love this coffee and I was hoping I could use prime to have it shipped to my door.

My husband mixes this with the Jose Vanilla bean! It's awesome!!

I have been buying the Starbucks dark roast whole bean from Costco for about two years now. But lately I have been getting some really bad acidic reaction to it and thought that I would try something different to see if it would dissipate. I was concerned about trying another brand because I love my coffee rich and bold in flavor. I was at Costco the other day and have always noticed the coffee grinders at the front of the store and the beautiful and enticing aroma of the coffee once it was ground. When my wife was checking out I thought I would walk over and see what brand it was. The grinders said "Jose's Coffee" so I thought what the heck and went back and got a bag. The French Roast was $13.49 for three pounds of coffee ($3.49 a pound), not bad. Took it to work the next day, poured the beans in my grinder and got brewin'! My co-workers instantly gravitated to the aroma of the coffee and asked me what brand I had brewing. Showed them the Jose's bag, hopefully it would taste as good as it smells.....and it DID! One sip and I was in love, the brew was strong and robust like the Starbucks but way less overpowering. This coffee had much less of the acidic reaction and didn't have that a burnt taste as the Starbucks, strong yet not overpowering. I have now found my new whole-bean coffee! Don't get me wrong, the Starbucks is good, but Jose's is better!! I know some buyers gave the coffee a low score because of the price, honestly you should never dock an item stars because sellers on Amazon are selling it at inflated prices. Overall an excellent balance of flavor and strength and as long as you shop around, it can be had at a bargain price.

A friend brought me a bag. Jose's French Roast Coffee is excellent. Not bitter, not acidic, high quality comparable to Starbucks blends. Worthy of a try and at an outstanding price!!!
