Easy to assemble and educational
I saw this shopping through Amazon and I thought it would be appropriate since I have been undergoing dialysis. It is a good reminder of what I no longer have as a functional organ.

I walked around my hospital with this for a day and taught as many patients as I could about kidney diseases and kidney stones. I got an overwhelmingly positive reaction. Most people have no idea what a kidney really looks like so it was amazing to watch someone have an "aha!" Moment. This model is very delicate, however. The glomerulous pops out pretty easily. I know it's meant as a puzzle so it's not poorly designed, but if you're using it for a teaching project, get some super glue. Great display and great visualization.

perfect size
I purchased the model for an anatomy class. I found the kidney model quite helpful when learning the flow of blood in and out of the kidney. I was able to identify every artery and vein with no problem. I also love the little renal corpuscle. I was also able to easily identify the pathway of urine out of the kidney with ease. It is sturdy and accurate. I recommend this product as a great study tool.

Decent for the Price.
Pretty decent for the price, but I keep losing my glomerulus. This kidney may need dialysis. *Some structures are not labeled on this model.
