Great for exercise
I used the JBL Reflect Mini (original and 2.0) for several years because they had good sound quality, were not super expensive and most importantly, stayed in my ears while running. Now that they are no longer available I tried the JBL Reflect Flow because the price was right and the ear inserts (the part that looks kind of like half a propeller and sits in the outer part of your ear) looked very similar to those in the Reflect Minis. After more than a month using them I really like them. I have had no problem with battery life, the sound quality is fine for Sirius XM or Spotify while I am running and they stay in my ears very well. I run for about 35 minutes 3 days per week and they seem to last for up to 3 weeks before I have to plug the case in to charge them back up. (I don't let them get super low so they might go longer.) The 3-star rating on the noise cancellation is because in order to get the ear buds deep enough in my ear so that they stay in I am using the smallest ball-like cushion which means some sound can get past them. But that is fine with me because I actually like to be able to hear cars, bikes, people nearby as I'm running. I didn't buy these for noise cancellation. Bottom line for me is that these are a very good value.

Still reliable after 1 year.
I've used the JBL Feflect Flow earbuds almost daily for a year now. Standout feature for me has been their per charge battery life, I can listen all day to music and I haven't noticed a degradation in battery life. These buds are truly waterproof, I have worn them in the rain and through many hours of sweaty running. I've even worn them in the shower a few times though I was careful and probably should not have since they're only IPX7. JBL now has Reflect Flow Pro with IPX8 rating so that may be worth checking out if you want more water protection. At first, the sound quality was not satisfying. I tried various eartips (including 3rd party foam) and fin combos and had to adjust my phone's equilizer until eventually I had a sound that provided decent bass and midtone details. I have tried several pairs of waterproof ambient-aware earbuds and these sound the best. Not an audiophile experience but still enjoyable. Charging can be finicky. I have a vanity area in my bathroom that I found handy for charging but had to stop that; charging in general doesn't work well in humid spaces. I often need to remove the fins and tips to make sure the earbuds are completely dry before dropping them in the charger. Closing the case is very helpful in establishing and maintaining the charging connection. I usually open it back up and check that both red lights are on and leave the case open so I can see when both buds have finished charging. Charging these on-the-go (in a jostling bag) usually works fine. The ambient aware feature can be disorienting at first because while you are actually outside walking around it sounds like you are listening to a tv. Once used to it I loved it but if it's windy this feature is useless because the wind is all I can hear. While not perfect I have been pleased with these earbuds, they held up well.

Best In-Ear Headphones I've Used!!!
I've strayed away from in-ear headphones because either they didn't stay in or irritated my ear canals. After reading other reviews, I decided to give them a try...I'm glad I did! The different size tips and ear hooks allowed me to customize the fit so that prior issues were no longer a problem. The sound is what is to be expected from the Harmon/JBL brand. Though it is not as good as my over the ear headphones (expected considering the difference in size/design), the sound is superior to all the others I've tried. The bass is deep and the audio range is wide. The noise cancelling is so good that even high levels of noise like a lawn mower are muffed to very low levels and normal outside noise is completely blocked out. The Ambient Aware and Talk-Through features have been invaluable so that I don't have to pause music when someone wants to talk or if I just want to be able to hear more around me on dog walks. The IPX7 makes it great for even the sweatiest workouts and I have yet to find any movement that will make them loosen or fall out. These are definitely worth the purchase!

Good headphones but not user-friendly; insanely loud
Overall, these headphones are pretty solid but they have a few flaws that outweigh the positives and left me wishing I'd bought headphones from a different brand. First, the good: The sound quality, in-ear fit, battery life, and charging case on these are all positives in my mind. I'm no audiophile, but the sound on these is plenty good for my tastes. Likewise, these fit in my ear well with the default earpieces and I've never once had them fall out or come loose. The charging case is small enough to fit easily in any sized pocket and has some heft to it, giving it a sturdy feel. Finally, I love how the buds charge in the case even if/when it's not plugged in, and the case itself can go a long time between charges. I use these headphones for about an hour a day, five days a week and can usually go two weeks or more before I have to plug in the charging case. Now, for the cons: - First, these do not have any sort of volume control native to the headphones themselves, relying instead on the device and/or music service's native volume controls. This wouldn't be a bad thing if these headphones weren't so ungodly loud. I have my iPhone's volume level set to the absolute lowest level, as well as that of Amazon Music or Pandora, etc., and even with both on their lowest levels the headphones are louder than what I would normally choose and borderline uncomfortably loud. As a result, I only use these for working out now and largely have reverted back to using my wired Apple earbuds for all other uses due to the volume issue - Finicky Bluetooth connectivity and pairing. When you take these headphones out of the charging case, they will automatically turn on, sync to each other, and then to your device. This usually works well in practice but if you aren't quick enough in taking the second bud out of the case (or drop it on the floor when trying to take it out of the case, like me), only one will turn on and sync to the phone. Again, this wouldn't be a big deal if it were simple to turn the other one on and have it sync, but that's not the case with JBL. To get both buds sync'd to the phone, you have to turn both off, return them to the charging case, and then start over. This has happened to me probably two or three times and it usually takes a few minutes before both are up and running as they're supposed to. - The connector pins between the buds and charging case require meticulous cleaning to ensure they connect/charge/turn off. - No app support. My previous headphones were from Jaybird ("wireless" earbuds that had a cord connecting the two earbuds; I only purchased these JBL headphones because I wanted a truly "wireless" set of headphones), which has an app to assist with things like set-up, volume control, etc. I didn't realize how helpful that was until coming over to JBL which does not have an app or any support to speak of. All you get with these buds is a "quick start" guide which contains only basic information and does not cover how to reset the buds in the case of something like one bud not syncing to your device. Overall, these headphones do what they advertise: fit well in ear and provide respectable sound quality. However, several minor shortcomings add up to outweigh the positives and left me wishing I'd have purchased from Jaybird or similar.

Wonderful clarity
These buds are fantastic. I bought them to use while running, or power walking and they haven't disappointed. I had a pair of "normal" buds that were advertised as sports, but even though they do a good job in general, they weren't really created specially for a snug fit. This point was proven when they fell out during a run, which prompted me to buy a real exercise set, the JBLs. Surprisingly, not only have these filled the need while exercising, I find myself listening to them for more than just workouts. The reason is because of the sound. Clear, no distortion, balanced, nice sound stage, nice tight bass, just balanced. The only thing I would say is that I do eventually start to experience ear fatigue after a few hours. This is to be expected with a snug fitting exercise bud however. As for other functionality, they pair quickly, charge quickly and do not cut out. They also achieve passive noise cancellation, due to the snug fit. Overall, very happy with them.

Charging Case is defective and frustrating to use
To get the good things out of the way, the sound quality on these are pretty good, battery life is fantastic (when they actually charge properly ... more to come) and they are pretty comfortable in my ears, for casual wearing or exercising. The problem? I've gone through two sets of these, and the charging case/system is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I returned the first pair thinking it was just a defect, but the second pair was just as bad, and has gotten worse over time (I've had them about five months). When I put the earbuds in the charging case, they don't actually start charging right away, unless I adjust the positioning. And then even if I get it to start charging, it might go out again in 5 minutes leaving me with a half-charged or non-charged earbud. I've resorted to taking off the earbud silicone each time to get a better charge. For a $100 product, this was not worth the price or the frustration.

This Product Allowed Me To Literally Hear Dead People
I have always been a fan of JBL products and let me tell you, these earbuds did not disappoint! Since getting serious about working out again, I have been wanting something that not only makes my music sound good but also cancels out that garbage they play over the speakers at Planet Fitness. The noise cancellation is top tier; sometimes it gets so quiet that I can hear my dead relatives speak to me in the silence! The ear pieces come in three sizes which is very nice for people like me who have small ears. The smallest ones work great for me! Anything else and I begin to get an earache, especially during particularly long exercise sessions throughout which I will have moments of warped vision and hear the soft mournful whispers of my passed family members! A big question I know many will have while reading my review is, "Wait a second... what is the bass like?" I know how important bass is to people, and let me tell you, this product's bass is top-tier, especially for such a small and compact earbud. The bass is resounding and impactful, giving an almost full body experience, which works great for me to help drown out the pleas from my ancient relatives to listen to what they're trying to tell me while I'm queueing up smash hit after smash hit from ABBA's Greatest Hits (Vol. 2) in the gym. They have such good music and I love the fact that they don't care if they appear feminine. All in all, these earbuds are great, and I would recommend them to any weight lifter, runner, spirit medium, gamer, or music enthusiast.

These, unfortunately fell short of my expectations
I absolutely love JBL products. I have a set of club pro ear buds and I also have a huge party box. Those two items sound awesome so I was very confident that these ear bugs would also be awesome. I was getting them to wear when I lift weights, jog, and mow the yard because the silicone nubs would help them stay in my ears. When these arrived I was super excited. I immediately got them out and started to try to pair them. I had an extremely hard time pairing them to my phone... the same phone that my other two JBL buds and speaker pair with flawlessly. I finally got them paired and realized the left earbuds wasn't working. I asked uncle Google for advice about these earbuds because at this point I've been messing with them for over an hour trying to pair them and get the left ear bud to work. The problem with the left earbuds is that it apparently was dead because the connection points in the earbuds weren't making contact with the charger. I had a difficult time getting them to settle in and seat correctly in the charging case. I finally got the left ear bud to start charging. Fast forward a few hours to give them time to charge properly I get them out and tried to pair them. I couldn't get them to stay turned on and when I finally got them to stop automatically turning off, which is easy to tell when they turn on, off, and pair because there is a very distinct noise JBL products make when they turn on and off and they make a bleedeebeep (yeah bleedeebeep, you read that correctly) noise when they pair. I finally got them to stop automatically turning off but found that I had to go into my bluetooth and forget them on my phone and pair them again because they just wouldn't connect. Finally after 5 hours of fussing with these silly things I got them to charge, turn on and stay on, and pair with my phone so I could actually test their sound quality, which I was 100% sure would blow me away. They absolutely failed to meet the mark. They didn't cancel noise very well and they wouldn't get very loud in the way that it almost sounded like the music was playing through a membrane that slightly muted the sound and the equalization was off. Hey! It's a JBL so it's no problem because they have an app that I already have that will link to these things and I could mess with the equalizer, sound quality, and make them louder or at least adjust them so that I got the most out of how loud I could get them. Couldn't get them to link to the JBL app and I messed with that forever with absolutely no progress and uncle Google had nothing for me on this issue. I also noticed that they suction into my ears really easily which causes a vacuum affect and completely deadens the sound. Again, not a problem because they sent three different sized earbuds to change out and three different inside ear nubs that hold the earbuds tightly into my ear. As with everything else with these earbuds so far switching all of these pieces up to try to get the perfect fit, comfort level, and to keep them from suctioning into my ears was a waste of my time because nothing made them fit well enough to keep them from sectioning into my ears, or create a fit that was good enough to increase the volume, sound quality, or noise cancelation feature. After about 6 hours I was very confident that these earbuds where not worth a third of what I paid for them. I had a $25 dollar pair of off brand ear buds that I used to workout and mow in that worked a lot better. Still love JBL products but these earbuds are not good. I only gave them a 2 star rating because I know that JBL makes awesome earbuds and speakers and I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume I must have received an absolute lemon in ordering these earbuds. I've had them a few months now and, unfortunately I have yet to fiddle with them enough, or find out secret information, or connect them to the app so that I can adjust sound quality, noise cancelation and the terrible fit well enough to fix any of their issues. They work but they are almost unusable because they don't sound good, sound loud enough, cancel outside noise well enough to hear them when I mow. I also continually have to readjust them so that they don't suction into my ear and completely cut out their sound so I can't lift weights in them because I actually have to move my head a little here and there or change positions or move my eyes or have a slight breeze hit me doing any working out. They have sat on my nightstand for about the last three weeks and I've gone back to my old off brand ear buds. I know you're wondering why I don't just use my club pro ear buds and the answer to that is they fit in my ear really good and connect to the app so I can adjust their equalization to boost sound quality and volume and test their actual fit in my ears but they don't stay embedded in my ears all enough doing intense movements. I can go for a walk with these or ear them around my house cleaning but they vibrate loose when I mow (I don't have a bad mower either, it's a new zero turn but mowing is what it is and can be very bumpy at times no matter how good your mower is) and I almost lost one under the running mower and decided it's time to get more heavy duty ear buds so that I don't have a bad accident with my club pros. I hate to say it... I wouldn't recommend purchasing these ear buds because there's just way too many issues with them. I do still hope they were just a bad pair of these and the rest are as awesome as all of their other speakers and earbuds.

Charge before using
Charge before use (only for about 10-15 mins). I thought these were like my old ones which came half charged in the box so I was quite concerned when they wouldn’t work at first. Besides that a great pair of earphones

Great earbuds on sale.
I got these for a boxing day sale, which has been the cheapest I can find them to date. I probably would not have paid full price. That being said, the specs are my selling point. I have not tested it, but I love the waterproof feature in any electronic, and I base that as a top 5 qualities in an electronic. The battery life. You cant beat 10 hours in continual use(perfect conditions) and 20 in case. I feel these are perfect for vacationing away from outlets, and doing yard work, or anything where a cord will restrict you. I love the freedom. The sound, could be refined. If you dont use the proper silicone pieces, you get a shallow sounding speaker. But if you have full contact around your ear, you have a 7/10 sound. Its lacking depth/heavy bass, but they are wireless buds, and it doesn't bother me as much as it would have in my teen days. Amazon asked me to rate the noise cancellation? As far as I know, it's not a function. But, they do prevent a decent amount of outside noise. The option to allow outside noise while listening to your audio files, works quite well. There are two options, and I forget the names. The one for talking to people, works well, but I wouldn't rely on it. It's good, but its mildly muffled. It does, however, still play music at a very soft, soft volume at the same time. For the jogging through sound, works as intended. I dont jog, but I can hear what is happening around me while listening to music, at a slightly lowered volume which is done automatically. I have used these for calls a few times, nobody has ever mentioned anything, or complained. So they work fine. The buttons dont require a lot of pressure, and the pressure on your ears is relatively evenly distributed. They dont fall out with drastic movement. They stay in place. The end. Because I'm not sure what else to say.

Good earbuds. Charging issues
So far so good. Bass isn't great, but it's not terrible. Case is good, charging is simple. Pairing was easy. Had these for about a year now. Charging in the case is hit and miss. Buds have to be in a certain position, you can't just drop them in and charge. Which is super frustrating to come back and find one or both not charged. I wouldn't buy these again. When they charge, they're good ear buds.
