99 for a print copy of this work is a fantastic value. Dr
I want to address a few concerns I see in earlier reviews. Rating a book as one star because it is not the text you needed instead of rating it on the quality of its content seems a little weak. Also, yes, there are grammatical errors. I am unsure if the author is a native English speaker, or if he is bi/multilingual. Considering this text is available for free digitally through a digital commons, it bypasses the big publishers and their big price tags which means there will be editing errors. With that being said, $9.99 for a print copy of this work is a fantastic value. Dr. B (as we refer to him in a graduate research methods course) has provided an extremely digestable work explaining the principles behind social science research. This is approachable regardless of discipline and course level (high school, undergradu, grad, and even post-grad). It provides you an introduction to philosophy as well as components of research. You'll find yourself returning to the basics, and it gives strong foundations.

Adequate but needed an editor
This book was required as a textbook for a class I'm taking, and while the information is adequate, I found the grammatical errors (especially in the first few chapters) distracting. The book could have used a good editing before it was published.
