That just make bed off cold, I don't like to sleep in cold, cold bed makes my joint stiff & kind of arthritis worse. Seems like very soft gentle heat, also seems like relaxing & helps better quality of sleep. When weather becomes cold I think I really enjoy this pad. It's pricey but if it block electromagnetic field as claimed with other benefit, I think it's worthy for health.I am glad I invest this pad. We bought another one for the dorm when one of the kids went to college, and it turned out to be a lifesaver. After a couple of years the temperature control stopped working in one of the units. So we contacted the manufacturer, and they asked us to send in the control so that they can either fix it or replace it. They replaced it free of charge (I paid for shipping only) and voila the product is as good as new. It's not cheap but definitely worth it as we can turn down the heat (save on gas and makes the house less dry).
