I am super sensitive to dyes, fragrance, chemicals etc. It is a giant pain the butt. This detergent is so great. Cleans clothes, towels, sheets well. And NO IRRITATION. Our clothes etc have a nice softness. I was ride or die All free and clear. I still use it on occasion, but the detergent is my go to. I can’t say enough good things about. PLEASE NEVER SELL THIS COMPANY OR CHANGE THE FORMULA!!

I just love this detergent. It’s not toxic, no scent to bother my baby or kids skin and it gets our clothes clean without using much. We wash a ton of clothes and the box last for months! Definitely value in that!

I've been using this Country Save brand for 16 years (as of 2024). We have always purchased the powder version of their formulations. I love that they don't use phosphates or fragrances or stuff that coats the fabric to mask issues. Clothes always come out CLEAN without any odors. Several members of our family have extreme skin sensitivity to certain artificial chemicals and this has been a perfect fit for us. We first switched to this brand when my oldest baby had reactions to previous laundry soaps and to using disposable diapers. I read up on cloth diapering and wasn't sure I wanted to go that route but Several mom blogs mentioned ways to keep it simple and sanitary. I saw several brands of detergents mentioned but this was the one that popped up most frequently with excellent reviews for truly cleaning diapers (other brands left residue that later required "stripping"...ew!) Anyhow we've tested this brand against samples of other "natural" brands over the years and I have not found anything as effective and affordable and gentle as this. We have used it for all sorts of laundry issues over the years and it is tried and true the very best on the market!!! I typically look to buy the 6.25lb (160 / 80 load) box rather than the smaller 80 load box bc it is the most convenient for our family.

I like that Country Save is more environmentally friendly and that it doesn’t contain any extra stuff: no scent or optical brighteners or fabric softeners or miscellaneous chemicals meant to make your life easier that end up poisoning you and everything they touch. I like that it gets my clothes clean and takes away odors along with the dirt and stains. I started using it 8 years ago when I was cloth diapering my daughter. I used exclusively Country Save on her cotton prefolds and I never had to strip them and they never stank. That tells me this detergent is leaving as little residue as it’s possible to leave on the clothes it cleans, as well as actually helping to dissolve solid and liquid soil that’s caught in the fibers. I like all of that. Once I became convinced of this detergent’s efficacy and safety, I never stopped using it.

I use this to wash cloth diapers and it works great. The diapers come out with no smell even if I waited longer for wash day.

I just switched to this soap b/c I was tired of having two different soaps...one for clothes and one for cloth diapers. This stuff is amazing! It gets my clothes clean but more importantly...my diapers are CLEAN. I have been using it for 2 months now and I haven't had any ammonia problems or soap build up in my diapers. This soap is a lot cheaper to buy from the store....I get this same size box at a natural food store for a lot less...less than $10. Update: Still working great on my diapers. I have a LG front loader...this is my wash routine for my cloth diapers. Around 5 pm I start my wash routine. I usually wash every other day...because I have 2 in cloth diapers 15-20 diapers a load. First, I do a heavy duty cold water wash with no soap -1 hour Next, around 6 pm I put one scoop in the tub with the diapers and another half a scoop in the soap dispenser. I also add a cap full of vinegar to my fabric softener opening...be careful using vinegar make sure you check to make sure it is safe for your brand of diaper. I then do a sanitary heavy soil level wash with 3 extra rinses - 2.5 hours Then around 9 I do a heavy duty Hot water wash with no soap - 1 hour Then before I go to bed around 10...I put the diaper covers on the drying rack and the inserts, prefolds or flats in the dryer on speed dry high heat for 60 minutes. That way when I wake up all the covers and insert/prefolds/flats are done.

Be careful ordering this product from this seller. I have used this detergent for over 5 years and have never had a problem with it. In November of this year I bought a box from this seller (at a much higher price than I have ever paid) and have been breaking out in hives since. My boyfriend is not sensitive like I am, and even he was getting a few hives here and there. It took me quite a long time to figure out that it was in fact this box of detergent causing the problem since I have used it for so long with no problems. Luckily I had an old box of this exact detergent and I was able to go back to using that, and my hives finally stopped. Oddly the proof of purchase on the box I ordered from this seller was covered up (seemingly intentionally) with a white sticker. I am not sure if it is just a bad lot, or if the formula has been purposely/knowingly adulterated in some way, but take care when ordering.
