These are my FAVORITE hikers by a longshot!
I've owned several brands of hiking pants including Columbia, Swiss Gear, and Duckhead. But this pant is my favorite. They are the most comfortable with the stretch waist and have plenty of pockets for carrying your phone and other personal items as well as two decent pockets for folding up and stowing the zip off portion of the pants if you get warm. The price is also great. My first pair, which I bought from another vendor, came with a belt that I still use. That pair lasted me three years of constant use at home and on the trail. The fly zipper died, but my wife added buttons so I kept using them. The only reason I really decided it was time to retire and replace them was because I tore the left leg just below the groin. My wife stitched it up once and that lasted almost a year. After that I decided it was time to replace. I'm so glad I found them again. I'm wearing them now. Can't wait to get out in the woods with them again!

Very comfortable fitting hiking pants
Very comfortable plants ordered for a hiking trip to Peru - they fit well - providing enough room for movement, but nice enough to be worn out for the evening after the hike without looking too big and bulky. Love that they are so lightweight and can be folded or rolled up to fit in any crevice in the suitcase, without adding much weight at all. Comfortable and good looking - what more can you ask for?

The pockets were the deal-breaker for me
The ideal travel/hiking pant is a bit elusive for me. So I keep trying different brands, and took a flyer on these bargain pants from Amazon. The fabric isn't bad. They are lightweight and stretchy, which I like, but I'm returning them. Here's why: The pockets are a deal breaker. The two top front pockets are acceptable, but a bit small. You wouldn't want to put too much in those. There's not any extra fabric or gusseting, which is a clean look, but anything you put in there will be pressed against your thigh and visibly bulging. I could live with that if the other pockets were functional, but...The two leg "cargo" pockets are just wrong in every possible way. To me, you have a design choice here: You could make these pockets blend in and be small and unobtrusive but less versatile (like a thigh slot for a cell phone with a hidden zipper), OR you could make gusseted cargo pockets that are versatile but ugly. These pants remarkably have small, non-functional leg pockets that manage to be even uglier than cargo pockets. They are adorned with bright, cheaply-done stitching and lettering that you can see from a mile away (and looks like it will not stand up well to wear), but the pocket design is USELESS. It's an interior pocket that hangs down below the knee. Anything you put in there will be bumping against your knees as you walk, inside the pants. It's terrible.Fit-wise, these are probably better for taller people. I'm 5' 9.5" and weigh 165. I typically wear a 32/33 waist and 32" inseam. I ordered the size 32 and the fit was just OK. They were pretty tall in the rise, so I had the choice of hiking them up or having the crotch hang a bit too low for hiking. Definitely not a flattering look. The elastic waist would be ok for casual wear but if I were hiking in them, or if I had anything in the pockets, I'd want to wear a belt.I did like the fabric: Very lightweight and very stretchy.

Great hiking pants, buy them
These pants/shorts are great. Light weight & super strong they do cut the wind and are very comfortable. I plan on buying at least a second pair if not a third.

Not for me
The material feels great, though I haven't had them long enough to test the water resistance or fast driving quality. I love the stretchiness but that might also explain why it is too loose on me even though I bought a size smaller than they recommended based on my waist measurement. The other reason I will probably return it is that the side zippered pockets are too small to hold my cellphone (a motorola 5g ace) and too low down on the leg, actually extending below the shorts line when something weighty is in it. When converted to shorts, they are longer than I would prefer. While I have found that zippers on the lower end of the legs facilitates donning and removing the leggings without removing shoes, the stretchiness and size of the opening makes that unnecessary.

Cheap
For the price these pants are so cheap. Terrible fabric, uncomfortable and look fitted in photo but are basically parachute pants.

Well made
I got these to wear when I need to wear my knee brace which is very big. This is so comfortable and has a zipper for the legs to make shorts which is perfect I use it to access my brace to adjust it or to take off to let my knee air out. So happy I bought them.

light and cool on hot days
I had to modify the belt because it was far to long for the size of the waist.

Bad zippers
Wore these pants one time and the zipper on one of the pockets already doesn’t work.
