It arrived and the blanket was already in the minky cover. After about a week I started to notice a gritty feeling in my bed. I thought that maybe there was some sort of residue in the fur of the cover. I washed the summer cover (which washed terribly) and changed covers. I attributed the gritty stuff to the minky cover needing a wash. A month later and I'm getting more and more grit. I purchased another cover. When I went to change the cover I discovered it was full of grit. 2 weeks after changing the cover and again my bed is gritty. If I would have realized the grit was the blanket itself I would have tried to return it immediately.
