Doesn't work well on this vehicle for shorter people
Bought this item to assist my 5 ft 1" wife in gaining access to the vehicle. Unfortunately, they made the situation worse, and ultimately had to remove them.

Color & Installation
Did not come with installation instructions. If you have rocker panels on your X5, they will have to come off. The running boards are not painted, just black plastic...does not look very good if your vehicle has painted wheel well trims and no visible plastic on exterior body anywhere else. Will need to check with local shops if they can paint the running boards to match the vehicle color...prepare to spend some more.
