We use on a sandy beach in the wind and if you get the pole positions right to allow wind to pass under the shade it does a good job of holding up. I like the fact that you can shorten the poles if necessary in very windy conditions. We also have another more expensive shade from a different manufacturer which feels better quality, but this shade works well enough so is a good, less expensive alternative. These shades are very easy to put up and are much more effective than a sun umbrella. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing product for the price but... *by G***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 October 2019* We love the tent, works well also with strong wind... It takes a few initial tries to learn how to put it up quickly, but once you've learnt it's so easy.I'm not sure about the lycra as it's a bit elastic and with strong wind isn't great.Unfortunately it came with a wrong pole that means that one of the sticks is shorter than the other.
