Grinds up easily in a standard coffee grinder and adds delightful nuttiness to your coffee. Really a fan of these now. Skeptical at first. Pros: Good value. I was a bit worries they might be musty smelling/tasting after some bad run ins with similar products. It wasn't an issue at all. The bag is a solid thick material and the resealable seal works well every time. I tried them freshly ground in my coffee and I LOVE it. When you grind it, be aware that flaxseed is really and truly loaded with lots of oils so it will kind of "harden" a bit on the bottom from the powder and the oils mixing. That's normal. It honestly suprised me how easy it is to stire in to coffee. It'll settle on the bottom after a while though so be prepared for that. In this case there's nothing wrong with the flaxseed. It's the bag it comes in. The inside of the bad is lined with a chemical call cadmium. Cadmium preserves the freshness of the seeds. While digesting this chemical isn't good for anyone. Its not harmful to most people but cadmium can cause birth defects in pregnant women.
