* Review of black sandals with shiny black straps and a little bow *If you’ve got high arches, you know how challenging it can be to find footwear that is supportive, attractive and long lasting. I bought my first pair of these orthotic sandals a year ago on the advice of my podiatrist and am back for another pair.Given the price, you probably are wondering how long these last. I have worn these almost daily for 15 months and the straps and treads show minimal wear. The edges of the foot bed are somewhat faded from exposure to sunlight. But the fit of the straps and foot bed are as comfortable and supportive as they were after the break-in period.I grew up going largely barefoot, and only wear closed-toe shoes when hiking, for athletics, and when needed professionally. Otherwise, I’m happiest barefoot or with slippers. As my podiatrist says, though, feet need more support than foamy rubber slippers, and even though I can drive barefoot doesn’t mean I should. It was hard to say goodbye to those habits, but when she asked me to give this type of footwear a try for a few months to help with some chronic foot pain, I figured it was worth a try.I’ve put many miles of walking on these sandals, and after a brief molding-in period with the arch bump, these sandals now provide me with a well-shaped foot bed and relief from most of my foot pain. The length and width of the straps are both slender, which helps keep the sandals in place but without any friction on the tops of my feet that would lead to blisters. They are lightweight and minimal enough that it doesn’t feel like I am wearing “corrective” type footwear. And they're cuter in person than in the photo.

I have had these sandals before, and after years of heavy wear, the footbed began to peel. I am so happy to have another pair. These seem quite narrow in comparison to my last pair and in comparison to other white pair I have in white. I wonder if I received a “narrow” rather than the regular I ordered. Love this sandal, just not confident that I received the width I ordered.

This shoe is pretty up close. It supports my arch as it was described. I would purchase again.

Purchased these in September and worn them a few times and they are falling apart. I can’t wear them anymore and it’s been cold so I haven’t even wore them that much

My foot doctor said I need orthotic to support my arch. I used to wear only Vionic shoes but got away from them. Well I bought a pair of my former favs-and love them. They fit perfectly and give me great support with fashionable style too. These aren’t just flip flops!

Love this sandal. Third pair I’ve bought. Twice in white once in black.
